I thought TADIKM was one of the last songs being recorded. In the Amazon video Billie says it was the first?

He said it was the first track they wrote. Not the first track they recorded. That's not a contradiction

You‘re right. Sorry, skipped that.

The Green Day songs, folks, some real winners like "Suzie Chapstick," "Living in the 20s," and "Father to a Son" – tremendous, perfect songs, just like me. Now, "Bobby Sox," I gotta be honest, not a fan of those lyrics, folks. I give it a 1/10. But overall, Green Day is doing a fantastic job, and we're making music great again!

Facts aren't fun, let's speculate widely about Album 15, 16 and 17....what will surely be a Trilogy!!!   Actually, I'll stay on topic...can we figure out exactly who was right first about Saviors?  Who is the best, most reliable insider?

I guessed 13 songs and a blue album cover.   And if they kept 1972, I think I was 102% correct.   This Pink Savior business was a curveball, darnit.  And good thing too, 1972 was going to be like Cig and Valentines -  not their best work.

Just listened to the whole thing.

I overall think it's pretty good. A slightly more relaxed approach to what I'd prefer from this band.

The favorite tracks so far have to be Dilemma, Goodnight Adeline and Strange Days Are Here to Stay.

Goodnight Adeline is a huge surprise to me. Was not expecting to like a track this much after the first listen.

All of our waiting is finally paying off and tomorrow all of us are going to officially enjoy or listen to an entire album, everyone as they might prefer. i am glad not to have listened to anything besides the official videos of the lead single and "Dilemma" plus the live performances of 1981. i avoided all "leaks", snippets, unproffessional recordings, reels and lastly the final review, only to multiply my upcoming joy for this holy day - the 19th of January 2024. Exciting and clever advertisement by the band, hopefully it corresponds to reality.

  • Many people there claim there are similarities with other artists throughout the record. i think it is normal, dear co-fans. By the way, i do not listen to any other music besides Green Day at least for the last 3 months, therefore i will not notice anything that confirms or not those complaints.
  • What we can all agree about is that "Saviours" will definitely be the best Green Day album since "Father Of All...". 🙄
  • It is nice to observe many other people claiming different parts of the album to be their favourites as well as none song having the fortune of "Strangeland" or the infamous Dos 11th track and being described as the worst by the majority. It increases my hope for tomorrow.

After so many months of wait, time has come.

their best work since American Idiot for me and that is not something i say lightly since i enjoyed 21st Century Breakdown and RevRad

the only song that drags the album down for me is One Eyed Bastard, i just really hate it with a passion 😓

also TADIKM is a 5/10 for me because it's starting to wear thin abit now since i've heard the rest of the album but it's still a good song - especially live ❤️

Il y a 11 minutes, Punkyyy a dit :

Je viens d'écouter tout ça.

Dans l'ensemble, je pense que c'est plutôt bien. Une approche légèrement plus étendue de ce que je préfère de ce groupe.

Les morceaux préférés jusqu'à présent doivent être Dilemma, Goodnight Adeline et Strange Days Are Here to Stay.

Bonne nuit Adeline est une énorme surprise pour moi. Je ne m'attendais pas à aimer autant un morceau dès la première écoute.

Not being relaxed after 13 albums and this much of success throughout their 35+ year career would be literally extraordinary. Since "Father Of All..." they have pretty much shown they are not quite anxious about how their newer work will be receipted.

For now, my ranking goes as this:

Fancy Sauce:

This song is absolute madness. I can see it closing every show. I cried a few times because is a flood of emotions. A total abandonment to the madness. The climax of the party in the apocalypse. A jump into the abyss while laughing maniacally.

1981:

I think the arrangements are amazing. Although compared to the live versions, they seem had to simplified it to play it.

Goodbye Adeline:

I made a picture of myself suffering the situation of that song and it hurts so much. And I, that had accomplished so little compared to BJ, I can't imagine how hard is to him to process failure if I crumble evertime something goes wrong.

The American Dream is killing me

Still a perfect Green Day song. I wish it was a multi part song though.

Corvette Summer

The chorus is kinda wacky, but the verses are enough to ranking it high. That cry for piece of mind resonates hard with me.

Oh gosh, I'm destroyed. I needed it so bad.

Since Fever is a Japan exclusive, is that going to be allowed to be shared here?

Tout le monde déteste FOAM... mais cet album ne serait pas ce qu'il est sans FOAM et c'est un fait.

That is so true! It seems it was [almost] a mandatory step in the way for the creation of "Saviours". Probably the mostly negative response of both main Green Day fans and the general audience to "Father Of All..." [in 2020] had played a role [for] the creation of this album, which, unlike its ancestor, sounds more similar and familiar to the 2009-2019 Green Day music, relaxing most fans who were afraid "Father Of All..." would be their sound from now and onwards (although a few things from this album actually "survived" in "Saviours").

My bold guess is that it’s Bobby Sox

lyrically speaking it feels the most “young and in love” (do you wanna be my boyfriend/girlfriend lines) and could explain why the kids in the video look so young, especially since photos were requested to even get in!

I was right!! 🥳

How on earth have they picked that as a single, baffling.

Single choices have been weird. Like knowing the entire tracklist now, TADIKM, LMNB and OEB being singles are just odd choices to me when the songs mostly start getting better after OEB. Bobby Sox is a weird single choice too imo. It's not a bad track, not my favourite but it's an enjoyable track. But nothing about that track really screams "single" to me either. I think 1981 probably should've been a single, at least in place of OEB which I maintain is probably the weakest song on the whole album and makes no sense as a single choice
