Holy shit I do want to hear deep cuts from other albums too and idk if this will mean less new tracks will be getting played. But I'm totally happy with hearing deep cuts off both albums that rarely if ever get played anyway. American Idiot, especially. Idk if that album has ever been played in full live. Maybe a few times when it was first released? But there are tracks from that album that haven't been played live in well over a decade This is what I’m thinking 1. The American Dream is Killing Me 2. Burnout 3. Having a Blast 4. Chump 5. Longview 6. Welcome to Paradise 7. Pulling Teeth 8. Basket Case 9. She 10. Sassafras Roots 11. When I Come Around 12. Coming Clean 13. Emenius Sleepus 14. If they're playing a bunch of songs they're not that familiar with playing on AI and Dookie, I doubt they're going to add a bunch of other songs into the setlist too. If they're playing Dookie and AI in their entirety, any additional songs they play will probably mostly stay the same instead of being switched out with other songs the following night.

HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
Since they are talking about Saviors as filling the gap between Dookie and AI, I wonder if they will literally make that happen playing the Saviors songs between the two sets. 1
SongsForGDCMods
22 minutes ago, StillBreathing said: So here’s my little review It’s not an invitiation… I guess .. So ’ve listened to every song in HQ up to Coma City at least once. I have Strange Days and Saviors as well but I just can’t listen to the album for the first time through and skip songs. Look Ma, I have an OCD Brain! Also have only listened through a phone speaker as I have lost my headphones at the most perfect time. Moving house is such a Dillemma. First thought. Why have Green Day chosen the singles they have? Don’t get me wrong they are great songs. But they are typical Green Day. Which isn’t a bad thing. But if any hater heard any of these 4 singles they’d immediately point out the same problems they’ve had with Green Day for the last 20 to 30 years. Anyway first time hearing Bobby Sox, and the dynamic build through the song immediately drew me to think that Billie Joe wasn’t kidding when he said this is Green Days best album, at least in years. The Linkin Park esque vocals are chefs kiss too. 1981 was another catchy no brains- kind of tune. Until that bridge! Another chefs kiss. Goodnight Adeline. Wow. Billie Joe you are killing me you bastard. Billie Joe is such an amazing guitar player and vocalist and this record so far really does show it. This is the best he has sounded in years on record. And yes any of these songs would’ve been such better singles in my opinion. God Damn Green Day it’s like you want you piss people off. You Punks. you already got it? JReevz
1 hour ago, GDFan2019 said: I wonder if it’s because it sounds like a FOAM track. I remember seeing a video on Billie’s Instagram back in late 2019 or early 2020 where he was recording overdubs and this is the song I heard in his earphones!!! So I have a theory. What if they actually started work on 1972/Saviors that far back? I remember that FOAM release interview where Billie said, “Maybe we’ll put out another album before the tour.” and then of course the pandemic delayed everything!!! Fast forward to December 2021 when we got the first 1972 teaser, so yeah, this all checks out!!! I think this is fully true. I think they had most of these songs written and maybe even recorded with FOAM - I think songs like Bobby Sox, Suzie have similarities to that writing time. I think they realized they were different enough from FOAMs core that it’s what led to that album being cut to 26 minutes, and they saved these songs. I think in the reaction to FOAM they may have decided to re-work and re-record them with Rob.
That Dude
But that won't leave room for foam and trilogy songs. 😞 Okay, as long as they play Nightlife and bring Lady Cobra along, it's cool.
GuitarPunk94
I may buy me a second show for this summer tour, dookie and AI in full are once-in-a-lifetime moments, seeing them only one time wont be enough for me i guess 😅 2

Rumpelstiltskin2000
My Assai Obi vinyl has now shipped and they've confirmed there's no Japanese bonus track. Bit weird somewhere just turning a regular vinyl into an Obi issue. I don't really get it but hey it's limited to 500 so ... Nothing from the UK store yet

Popular Post Gwen Stacy
Excited for Dookie but American Idiot in full is going to be something truly amazing.
