Guys, this is them.

This is the amalgamation of their sound. The Trilogy catchiness, the post-sober BJ soul of RevRad and even Father of All, and honestly even glimpses of what make them great with American Idiot and Dookie (sound and melodies).

If it hasn't been clear for a decade or so, this is 100% their sound. This is as Green Day as it gets.

You either fuck with it or maybe you don't enjoy Green Day as much as you thought, which is perfectly fine tbh.

The guitar tones are heavy, and I loved it. It reminds me a little of the tones of Insomniac.

It's so easy to dismiss songs when you hear short 30 second clips of each of them. Multiple listens and hearing the song in full are basically required to actually know whether you'll enjoy the songs or not. I've not listened to the clips but I assume most of them are just like the chorus or pre-chorus of the songs or something. Sometimes the highlights of the songs are in the verses, or the bridge. Sometimes you need to listen to a song several times before you get it

I think the least we can do is not shit on the songs until we actually hear the album. If you don't think you'll like the songs based on what you think of the singles, then fair enough. But still, I think we all need to give them a chance before we jump to any conclusions

The only single I actively dislike is Dilemma, the other three have been fine. OEB is a little unoriginal but it’s fine.

I’ve constantly said I hope I change my mind. I just hate the dismissive nature that I’m not a fan because I don’t like the clips 😂

I’ve literally paid for the best ticket possible for Wembley in June, I want to like this album so bad. But hey 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

"Strange Days Are Here To Stay" would have been a highlight of 21st Century Breakdown, great song

Yessssssss! I came upon this realization today. This feels like Green Day saying this is us. Take it or leave it.

No one listens to CD’s as a form to consume music anymore. Purely collector’s items. (Coming from someone who’s ordered a CD) 😂

Speak for yourself. Sure I like CDs for my collection, but if I'm at home, I'm playing albums on CD. Streaming in convenient for sure, but I'd rather listen to my CDs or vinyl.

Didn’t mention vinyls for that specific reason, they’re more popular than CD’s now.  Good for you though ✌🏻

Riiiiiiiight which is why I said I listen to CDs on the regular.

Anyway, I haven't gotten any notification that any of my copies have shipped. Seems like GD's store is up to their bullshit again

I would love to hear an acoustic album produced by Rob Cavallo or Butch Vig (Butch did an excellent job on 21st Century Breakdown).

yikes

Listening to music on streaming services over cd's any day

Listening to music on cd's, vinyl, or cassette is terrible. This is coming from someone who collected vinyl. Terrible stuff you get the most out of listening on streaming services and I HIGHLY doubt you hear the difference!

I guess it's a Green Day fan base thing that everything has to be how they listened to music when they were younger. If you dont stream your music these days it's silly idc

strange days are here to stay is Rusty James reworked.

It may share some similarities but calling it "reworked" is a stretch. Highly doubt they sat down and went "lets rework rusty james"

I heard the clips today and it sounds great but obviously theres more to those songs for sure. I do hear some heavy elements from Warning coming back into their sound and I think it compliments them more at this age now.

This seems like an excellent record and honestly a lot of these songs could be killer singles.
