After going to a listening party yesterday, the new song I remember most is Corvette Summer!  It’s super catchy, waiting until the album comes out to listen again.  Also, I remember really liking fancy Sauce.  Those are the two new standouts for me.

I think "ordinary world" is the most depressing closer, although I like the song itself I don't think it should've been the final track, I mean revolution radio opens with "somewhere now" so why not end it with forever now?

I think Ordinary World as a epilogue as the person coming to terms that he is just “ordinary” and he’s made peace with that

Bobby Sox is strikingly like "Centipede" by FIDLAR in many ways. Chord progression, vocal style, and some lyrical content. Not a criticism

This is the correct way you should rank these songs.   No exceptions will be made and this will never change:   Gimme Gimme Strangeness and take away my dreams.

1.        Strange Days Are Here To Stay

2.       Dilemma

3.       Suzie Chapstick

4.       Look Ma, No Brains!

5.       Goodnight Adeline

6.       Bobby Sox

7.       Father To A Son

8.       Living in the 20s

9.       Fancy Sauce

10.   Saviors

11.   One Eyed Bastard

12.   1981

13.   Coma City

14.   Corvette Summer

15.   American Dream is Killing Me

Last night I saw a commercial for Jimmy Fallon and Green Day is supposed to make a special appearance this week!!! But it’s weird, I don’t see them listed anywhere in the guide. Does anyone know what day?

There’s a new thread for that. Bill posted that they’re on Tuesday

I literally cannot get the "fuck it up on my rock & roll" line out of my head.

The reason why i loved revolution radio album is because it feels like a life story for me on a specific year. It's like here's the album of what happened to my life and how i feel during that specific year. And in the end after all those crazy shits that happened, I come in to terms that i decided to leave everything behind and made my peace.

Exactly!  It was definitely the lyrics and the way they were sung that makes that song stick out.  And I think it had cowbell!

Along with the album on Friday, do you think they’ll announce a documentary on the making of the album? All those teasers felt like documentary clips!!! I’d like to know when recording actually started because I was shocked to discover that we’ve actually heard a few seconds of Corvette Summer back in late 2019/early 2020!!! Billie posted some studio videos on Instagram (which were deleted before his last deactivation) one was where they blew an amp out, and the other was Billie recording overdubs, and the song was Corvette Summer, the “don’t want no money” part!!! “Don’t want….ah shit!”

I really hope that there will be a documentary. But since Billie said in one of the recent interviews that there is no need for a documentary because they can upload old videos to TikTok, I'm not that optimistic anymore...

It’s funny with the talk of RevRad being a personal album for some people because obviously it was released in 2016 and in Strange Days there is a mention of things not being the same since Bowie died - 2016 felt like a shift in our culture and RevRad was the soundtrack to that. It resonates I think, in a similar way to AI being the soundtrack to a post 9/11 world.

This! I had a similar situation and I felt like I was in a hole. When RevRad came out a few weeks later I started to climb out of the hole and felt better (their new music which I love, new relationship back then, new work, seeing my friends again and so on). So when I listen to the album I think back to that time when it all started getting better and it has a special place in my heart. But hearing these new songs for the first time which makes it harder to wait till friday, I feel kinda proud (?) to have them. I know it sounds a little bit silly, but after 22 years my love for this band haven‘t changed and it seems like they got the potential for a 3rd career after all these positive reviews and they deserve it. Sure FOAM wasn‘t well received (including me) but I think it‘s fair to say they always trying different things and not making another Dookie or AI.
I think we will love the new era and like I said before: I‘m glad to call them my favorite band since 2002.

If you think foam is bad. There is always the network money money 2020 (and thankfully that happened). Money money 2020 pt 2 is the real green day album of 2020

Personally I prefer MM2020 😂 But yeah, FOAM was bad and for me The Network isn‘t Green Day (ok sure, they are. You know what I mean 😂). So Network is not Green Day Discography for me

So Billie has released basically every song from These Paper Bullets in in one form or another except the one we've been begging for for years? 😂 Come on Billie, give us Dreamcatcher finally!
