The album is a Cold War in our heads and we are [the soldiers of] East Berlin on the danger sides of part's unknown, coffee and cyanide for people on GDC! If this is not a leak you gotta one foot in the grave!

I can't decide if Bobby Sox is intended to be an expression of bisexuality, a dialogue between a boy and a girl going back and forth, or both.

A review said it was a bisexual song but I was having the same dilemma.

Well, you know, people are talking about this Bobby Sox, and I've heard it's a new Green Day song. Now, Green Day, they've got some great tunes, tremendous. But, you know, I really hope it's not about bisexuality. We've got to keep the focus on the music, the melody, the rhythm – that's what's important. Let's not get too caught up in all the other stuff. I'm all about making great music, and I'm sure Green Day knows what they're doing. Let's hope it's just a fantastic song that everyone can enjoy. We've got to make music great again!

One thing I'd like to know is, why did they place the title track as second to last on the album?

Why does placement matter?

@pacejunkie punk Hard to tell without hearing it, but my first thought was that it was sorta like, “do you want to be my whatever? Girlfriend, boyfriend, best friend? Doesn’t matter to me what you are, I just love you.”

Whatever it means, it’s cute af lol.

It is super cute, but the first time I read it I was all "My Bicon! 😍" And then I read it again and in my head I'm hearing a dialogue where he asks her and she asks him so idk. But I do love that it can be interpreted any way and he probably liked that.  And yeah, your explanation makes sense too. I just love it.

He said it was about Adrienne, so I'm guessing a dialogue, but am sure he's fine with the other interpretation.

(and if I choose to believe boyfriend is referring to Kevin, well then I just will)

I think he likes the ambiguity, like the he/her thing in Basket Case. Because he could have written it as "Do you want to be my girlfriend/yes I want to be your girlfriend" but he didn't.

it's part of the experience of listening to an album. The band and producers and everyone involved has a saying on how the songs will be arranged and organized on the record. Often times they change the arrangement many times until finding one they're satisfied with (You can see in ¡Cuatro! how much planning went into the arrangement of every song on the trilogy). If Saviors is second to last on the tracklist then there's probably a reason for it, considering Green Day has never before placed the title track so far down the tracklist.

Man, I know you’re just a troll, but seriously- fuck off. Art is a creative medium and using art to explore and express one’s sexuality is not only valid, but vital. That kind of stuff saves lives, no joke.

I’d say it’s open to interpretation, which is great.

Listen, I've got to tell you, this is ridiculous! Everyone has the right to express their opinion, and you need to respect that. Art is subjective, and if someone wants to use it to explore their sexuality, that's their business. Don't shut down someone's expression just because it doesn't align with your views!

Well you’ve got the contradictory opinions down pat, but you’re far too articulate and nowhere near enough hand gesticulations.

0/10 worst troll ever.

I meant placement of the title song. I understand how placement overall matters.

Folks, someone's saying I've got contradictory opinions, but you know what? That's just another member of the elite spreading fake news. They don't like the fact that I've got the best opinions, the greatest opinions. And as for being too articulate, let me tell you, they're just trying to bring me down. I've got a tremendous vocabulary, tremendous words. And these hand gesticulations, nobody does it better than me. So, don't listen to the haters, okay? It's just more fake news from the elite trying to undermine the great things we're doing. Sad!
