I agree “saviors” is in quotes because it’s meant ironically. To me it can mean our leaders that divide us and then swoop in and claim to be the “saviors” that can fix everything that they themselves broke 7 1
Popular Post dirnt286
The song is so great. A mix elements from classic Green Day to their rock opera work. Sonically this might be the most unadorned and upfront sounding song (hopefully record) since the 2000’s. I’m a huge fan of this direction. I’m all in. Looking forward for what is to come.

Then again maybe as we get closer to the album release they might suggest it is. Who knows. But at least for now I agree with you it will have thematic songs for sure.
Popular Post MillenniumFan
The more I listen to it, the more I hear all the little production elements that made Cavallo produced GD records so magical and that have been absent for more than a decade. The drums and guitars sound huge, there's such nice transitions between verse lines, chorus and bridge; little basslines and drum fills, guitar fade-ins etc. that all add to the momentum and flow of the song. It sounds modern and clean, BUT at the same time, not overproduced. Yes, Green Day are great musicians, but this is why good production matters. It can bring the best out of artists' own work. God, even if the album turns out to be underwhelming from a songwriting point of view, there's still bound to be a few bangers in the 11 songs we haven't heard so far. I'm already licking my lips thinking about all those delicious guitar, bass and drum lines and clean vocals. Plus I think the 3 other songs that we have already heard in some capacity will all sound much much better once we're able to listen to them properly. That said, gimmee LMNB now haha, I wanna listen to it so bad. I've been listening to the original vinyl leak afterwards and LMNB fits so well as a follow up to TADISKM. I'm pumped!

Little Boy Named Booze
The girl at the end of the clip. She was looking like an important girl? Maybe in another music video? She's probably the one banging her head like 1981.
DookieLukie
Seems the band intentionally wanted to get back to their sound. Honestly RevRad was good but I think they lost their identity for a decade there. Glad to hear this album will be risky and bold (allegedly) since they have seemed to play it safe recently.

My timing was crazy perfect I jumped in the car at noon to grab lunch and turn on my local alternative station (105.9 the X) just in case. (They never played anything from FOAM). Just as I tuned in they announced the new single and played the song and are doing it again next hour! Yes! That’s my local station, too! I was so excited to hear it. 1
Popular Post DookieLukie
I feel like the guys have energy and bite again. Just compare this to some of their recent tracks. Night and day. Hope the whole album keeps up the intensity. Hope they rock out on these tracks.

HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
This song is so fucking good and catchy. Listened to it on repeat driving for half an hour, love it so so so much. cjb200
I just can't get past the "tiktok and taxes" line. Seems like just random words that don't relate to the rest of the song.

Social media has also become currency.
Little Boy Named Booze
People on the street, unemployed and obsolete, did you ever learn to read the ransom note This. This is my favorite part by far. Even better in the Music Video with the view on Billie with the fire in slow motion. Then the solo (I would like it more if it was a bit longer tho)

Popular Post greendepent
I liked the video. The message is open to interpretation and I really like that. The metaphor I feel is that the zombies are the working class people. The working class is struggling becoming zombies for the misinformation that mass media does, at the point everything and everyone is rioting. The normal are the elite who are trying to keep everything in the line. Their desperation is such they shoot even their own. Other post for lyrics interpretation later

That's the belief in the American Dream literally killing you. People working themselves to death for a decent life.
