It’s true that it’s been a while since they last put a lot of effort into their album cover (for me the last really good album cover was 21CB), but Warning is a bit of an odd one out with otherwise brilliant album covers. When I say odd one out, I mean it looks a bit low effort compared to Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, American Idiot or 21CB, all of which are fabulous covers. It still beats anything released post 21CB though. In fact, stylistically, this potential cover kinda reminds me of Warning. Different colour scheme of course, but the layout is very similar: A photo (not a drawing/cartoon/collage) + Green Day in bold and capitalised letters at the top and the album title in the lower right corner. The photo is from 1978, so would fit in with the nostalgia theme. Billie and the rest of the band were kids at the time, albeit a little younger. 2. It fits the isgreendayawake.com teasers, because Green Day is in bold and capitalised letters, Saviors, the album title, is italized. EDIT what doesn’t fit, is that saviours isn’t in lower case.
