Restless Heart Syndrome: a song never played live

Hi guys, some time ago I came across the album "21st Century Breakdown" again, and I had forgotten how beautiful it was. In particular, the song "Restless Heart Syndrome" caught my attention. I wondered why such a beautiful song has never been played live. Of course, someone might tell me that there is actually only one live performance of that song, which doesn't even have a video available on the web. It's from the album's presentation concert. The strange thing is that even in the DVD that was later released of that concert, all the songs are included except guess which one... precisely this one! To me, it seems like a really odd thing, and I've never been able to find an answer. Do any of you have any ideas?

Maybe a copyrights/licensing-related issue?
Very strange to omit that from the presentation concert release (where can I buy this?)

but I also hate it and think it strange when the band shows footage of Billie during Jason’s guitar solos.

The main reason why it was left out of the broadcast show is because the label though that it wasn't a good performance. In all the shows that are available with all 21st CB  live the band makes several mistakes, mostly because they were very nervous, but also songs like Restless are hard to perform.

Not to mention that Warner was obsessed with perfect performances at the level they edited them heavily at the point they made fake live shows, like the Last Night on Earth EP.

I remember hearing little girl viva Gloria thinking damn loved that intro but then the song changed Tempo, so I was happy when restless heart started because it had a similar intro but stayed a ballad, I wish 'before the lobotomy' stayed slow I don't like when it becomes a who ripoff but loved when the guitars kicked back in and it repeated the opening riff but with more power

I honestly think 21st breakdown was a worthy follow up to American idiot butch vig did a good job producing it my only problem is they should've added the piano break from the live '21 guns' to the studio version or re-recorded it adding the piano to the radio release

Love this song but sort of a downer for a live show so I get why it’s not on any set lists.

This is from the serect show they played about a month before the release of 21st century breakdown enjoy

Never mind lol

Billie doesn't move or blink through the entire performance.    WHOA.

It's not just this song being ignored live.   At least it got ONE performance.     No One Knows, Panic Song, Westbound Sign, Deadbeat Holiday, Poprocks and Coke, Shenanigans has only had 4 songs played ever, Song of the Century has just been played on tape, See You Tonight, Baby Eyes, Nightlife (NIGHTLIFE!!!!!), The Forgotten, Say Goodbye, Outlaws, Bouncing off the Wall and finally FOAM, of which only 3 songs were played ever.

Green Day were pretty good at performing MOST of their songs at one point or another until Trilogy era.   Of course, the band and the planet in general have had a rough decade so maybe we're coming out on the other side now.    We'll see.

I get it hypes up the crowd but it causes him to sing weaker after he does it multiple times

Well, Before The Lobotomy is practically Behind Blue Eyes by The Who, with better transitions
