Popular Post Yosuke Hanamura
Assuming they go the extra mile for a theoretical anniversary release? Best I can think of is a full release of the Irving Plaza 2012 show. 4
pcj
In an interview with Rolling Stone back in 2016, Billie Joe said, "I always wanted Uno!, Dos!, and Tre! to be our power-pop 'Exile on Main Street', and I understand it sounds a bit stiff and the production isn't great. I love these songs, but a lot of it feels half-baked. It was a weird time." This statement changing his comments in a previous discussion with NPR where he said, "Next thing we knew, we ended up with something like 30 songs. Are we doing a 'Sandinista' here?" (Referring to The Clash's triple album.) "So we said, let's do three discs and release one record at a time, and wouldn't it be funny if we called it Uno!, Dos!, and Tre!? This at least quashed an unsubstantiated rumour at the time that Billie Joe recorded all three albums worth of vocals in a few days. With critics unfairly claiming the songs lacked emotion and sincerity.
