Future ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! anniversary.

What is the chance of Green Day releasing anything similar like the anniversary releases of Dookie 30th, Insomniac 25th and Nimrod 25th, with demos, live albums and outtakes?

Also the band seems to just not be fond of going back to these songs on the setlist.

Honestly I'd consider ourselves lucky if we get a vinyl repress.

And I'd bet that Dos wouldn't have the correct tracklist...

The thing is they have a lot of material to use to add in a possible box set. Every small show before the release of Uno was recorded. They probably had tons of unused songs and alternative mixes. Hell, I'd like to see an extended cut of Cuatro too, with a deeper insight of the creative process.

Probably it won't happen, but never say never.

A deeper insight into the creative process would be so cool.

There’s enough live performance documentaries.

Cuatro is my fav. I hope they do something like that again.

At this point ten+ years on I bet those old stampers aren't still around. If they repress vinyl, they're going to have to cut new plates to press with, so hypothetical new pressings should have Stray Heart. In theory.

...but more realistically, I bet we don't see a repress (I've already got all three, so idc 😈)

I hardly see a chance of a trilogy "anniversary" edition considering:

* It was a commercial fail

* Billie felt that the songs from this era were not "complete", they needed more production/arrangements (That's why we had some OTIS Mixes)

* We had Demolicious and ¡CUATRO!

 

Warning is a way better option in my opinion.

I'm more optimistic about getting something for the trilogy than everyone else here seems to be. I mean opinions on the trilogy have improved in the almost 11 years since its release. And since there's still another 14 years before its 25th anniversary, it's very likely that will continue to happen even more as time goes on. If they end up doing it for all their albums from Dookie to 21CB, I don't see why they wouldn't do something similar with the trilogy

There will probably not be as much new unheard material from that era because of Demolicious, but Demolicious could be included with it, alongside Cuatro. And the band could do more remixes of the songs and include them and the already existing remixes of Fell for You, Oh Love, Lazy Bones & Wild One

Please no more Otis remixes. They are totally unnecessary, pretty bad (especially Wild One which sounds like a very low bitrate mp3) and they distort the true picture of what those songs are and what they stood for at time of being released. 2012 was a weird but special year.

I could see them doing something for the trilogy. And hope they do. There are a couple songs in Cuatro that we never got full versions of. And know there were plenty more.

You know you'll still have the option to listen to the originals if that's your preference. What's the big deal? I think the remixes improve the songs for the most part but even if I didn't, why would I care if people had an alternate version of the song to listen to. Remixes get made all the time, the original still always exists and usually remains as the most popular or most listened to version of the song

What is often overlooked from Trilogy era is that they wrote fuckton amount of songs. They could seriously release yet another trilogy album that was all written in 2011-2012 because creatively they were at their peak back then. I was really sad to see them completely ignore 10th anniversary of those albums but at the same time it's understandable. They think those songs sucked and it was a dark and twisted time especially for Billie. That being said, Dos! will always be my favorite album from them and I truly appreciate that era more than anything else.

If they'd ever do any Trilogy anniversary release, my absolute dream release would contain some of these..

- Unreleased demos and outtakes that didn't make it to albums (That Just Happened, Gabriella..)
- One live song from each secret show or one mostly full secret show. Red 7 was drunk as all hell, 1-2-3-4 records was tight and sweaty as shit, Tiki Bar was very random and most likely full of mistakes.. yeah, Webster Hall show would definitely be the winner here. It was sober one with fun halloween spirit.
- Confirmation of was Dirty Rotten Bastards played in Webster Hall or not.
- Re-release all albums with Cuatro included to the set. Fuck OTIS mixes, but I'd gladly take re-recorded songs if they wanted to do those.
- Interview with all 4 members to discuss songs in-detail one by one. I know Cuatro was meant to be exactly opposite of that with Tre even saying ''instead of just discussing the songs, we just wanted to show how they were made and what kind of environment and feelings people had during this process'' but I'm still extremely interested to know how certain songs were made and stuff like that.
- Something with Monica Painter. Interview, studio recording footage or whatever. I'd take anything. She's apparently a tattoo artist nowadays.
