really good song. sounds like a revrad single more than anything else. if it was on foam then foam would have 1 good song.

when the song title was registered again? i can't remember the agency that records them

It’s definitely recycled riffs from FOAMF, I really hope it’s a really well recorded demo or something because it’s okay but it still sounds like an extension of the last record. Surely they know that intro riff sounds like P!nk? Was expecting better but then again, they’re all 50+ basically now. Doesn’t sound like their heart is in it anymore. I’d love to be wrong though ✌🏻

Remember that theory that they done a shite record on purpose to get out of Warner? The next record needs to be at least on par with RevRad for me to even think that was slightly true. If this is a dud then they should probably call it quits.

Honestly Stab You In The Heart through to Graffitia I really enjoy now. The first half is trash.

OEB sounds similar to Sugar Youth, in terms of structure, key etc. I don’t get a RavRad feel from it at all.

But they're still with Warner, apparently...

I agree side B of FOAM is pretty damn good, but lose Junkies. Graffitia is great, Stab is a rip-off but super fun to listen to, Sugar Youth has a fantastic chorus.

Makes no sense if they are, I might have missed something as I’ve been out the loop for a while in the background of things.
I really don’t understand why they would be tied down to a label at this point in their  careers, they have enough money and resources to do their own thing now.

I appreciate this isn’t a FOAMF thread  I just like to pass comment that I actually have learnt to appreciate some stuff on there, even if it has taken about 3 years 😂😂

Honestly I think Sugar Youth is a bit overrated. It's not a bad song, but I just don't get why it's usually considered to be the best song on FOAMF. It would honestly be well below the average on like basically any of their other albums. I get way more enjoyment out of Stab You in the Heart and Graffitia. Sugar Youth just sounds like something they can do with little effort. Those little high pitched backing vocals in the 2nd verse sound like shit and the song really suffers from ending after the 2nd chorus without a bridge, solo or final chorus. I guess any song that just somewhat "feels" like Green Day gets much more of a pass

How did this song surface in the first place?

I bragged about having it to feel special and close to the band. 🙄

I just really like the energy and melody in the chorus of Sugar Youth. Agree it's too short. I think they put minimum effort into the record for sure.

Stab You in the Heart is very well rounded. High energy, great vocals, fun guitar solo section and a very cool outro that differed from the rest of the song. Graffitia is just a gorgeous song. And those harmonies near the end!

Moving forward and growing on GDC? That's unheard of.

Having listened to the song a few times, I can't get it out of me head. Love it.

Not convinced with the comment that it's a demo for FOAM though.

It’s a post-FOAM demo

If my memory is correct, we've had leaks before. But this time man/ band have gone ape shit. The snippets have been pulled from utube. Not to mention the warnings.

Still reckon this was a planned single ahead of, but not necessarily part of, the new album. Just to give us something, even prerecorded.

So what happens now? There's millions of GD fans out there. A few of which are not on here lol. And have not heard it. They'll have to release it officially now?

Wait, wait, wait. If you do release it as a CD single GD, throw in a few live tracks like the good old days. Thanks

My remix lyrics:

I'm making an offer you can deny

cause hey oh

cause hey oh

hey oh I hear the bees get louder

I bet you're gonna beg beg beg

Friend of mine

sweeter than wine

I never have feelings

get on your knees while kissing my ring

kissing my ring

kissing my ring tower

mine

sweeter than wine

hey!

badabing badaboom

badaboom

mamories

quite so ugly

hey oh wasted

glad that you're all dead

vendetta is a friend

revenge is sweet

your feelings

get on your knees when kissing my ring

badaboom

badaboom

laughing when you cannot deny

you won't be pleased when I'm making you cry

cry cause hey oh

I'm making an offer that you can take louder

you sob you're gonna beg and cower

badaboom

cause hey oh

cause

cause hey oh

casue hey oh

cause hey oh

cause hey oh hey oh hey ouh

casuse hey oh

badaboom

cause hey oh

bada

cause hey oh

bada bing badaboom

cause hey oh

bada bada boom

My favorite part is when I took the rhyme out of  "vendetta is a friend.  revenge is sweet".   both lines slam to a hault and it just sounds awesome.  Maybe songs shouldn't rhyme.

my second favorite part is when I made it say "friend of mine / sweeter than wine"   that line is so good, I just wanted to that part and build something from that.   For discussion sake, this song seem even better while dissecting it.  It's well written song.

I do see the negative in the song, and it's mainly in the emotion.   The song is angry and powerful, but there's not personal dilemma to attach to.  There's not tearjerker moment.     Maybe if there were some context as to what the anger or violence is about, we could feel something further.     If this is in a storyline on a concept record, maybe it could be even better?

So since I missed this…does that mean there’s really no chance of hearing it now?
