I REALLY hate their store. I'm getting pissed because I've heard nothing about my foam finger order and it's not a pre-order afaik.

the comments are so positive and point out even MORE songs that Black Eye Liner has relations with:

Well, there are things I liked and others not... or I considered as a "meh".

Good things:

* Keep the mix for Nimrod Album: Nothing more to say, Nimrod since 1997 is a perfect album in my opinion. I love the production (I assume it is the same mix, I didn't watch/read any "Remastered Version" in the promotion of Nimrod XXV)

* Get unreleased material: It's really good to know some more content from this era, but... I will explain later.

* The Art from CD and Vynil Version: I don't have any physical copy, but I watched many unboxing videos and I love the printed content.

* The Live album: FOR YEARS i wanted an official release for Electric Factory Show. I remember the times I listened to Redundant Single (I think it was in 2003 or 2004), those live tracks just make me desire more and more recordings from that show. Then I could listen Time of your life from NGFL single and NGFL live from that vynil singles collection in 2009. It has some flaws, but finally my wish came true. Green Day sounded so different in that era, compared to current shows. The vibe/atmosphere/spirit of GD 90s shows feel more raw, now it is more "friendly" (Nothing against that, but I would had loved to be in a GD show in that era)

* NGFL and TOYL Videos in 4K: Not part of this Boxset, but for ages I wanted classic GD videos in Full HD/4K.

Bad things:

* No expansion of Nimrod album: I know I said Nimrod is perfect, however Billie said Suffocatte almost was part of Nimrod. I see no reason that could have happened in this release.

* The Demo album: To be fair, I got the point why this material didn't make the cut. I liked to listen to the demos of released songs, we could get the idea how much those songs changed. However, You irritate me, thankfully, was not part of Nimrod. It didn't impressed me at all. Alison cover... I wanted to listen to the band version. Black Eyeliner was a good surprise, not one of the best GD songs ever, but nice to know how this demo was a proto of Church on Sunday and Kill your friends. Place inside my head... it's ok (I give it some credit because Mike sings) Chain Saw is a good brief cover of Ramones. Tre's Polka... it's something different but boring. Overall, they could add more stuff like some alternate mixes (Prosthetic Head, the Richard Dodd Mix and Future Disc System versions of Redundant, D.U.I., etc)

* Some flaws in the Live Record: First, the solo part and the fan playing guitar in Knowledge... what a waste. Knowledge sounded so good on Nimrod/Warning era. Paper Lanterns is so long... I have no problems with it IF I can watch the band (To be clear, in a DVD/BluRay/Video on YT). You know, watch the band interaction with the audience. However, just listen to the band playing the same riff for some minutes... for that reason I prefer the redundant single version, going to the best parts. I liked the "fast punk" part, though. Finally, I don't know why in the vynil version Brain Stew and Jaded were separated... it is a non-sense.

I 100% agree with your live album thoughts. If they're gonna do the fan thing with Knowledge, I don't mind watching it but listening to it is exhausting. They easily could've edited it down similar to what they did for HAR on BIAB.

I think they cut that one down because it was R rated with Billie’s jerking off sounds and no kid could play the album in their house with their parents around 😂

No news, no tracking, nothing!
Feel like I burnt $150 in a hole.

Last time I ordered with them I had to reach out multiple times before they gave me tracking information. Looks like I have to fire off another email soon *cracks knuckles*

Just got an email apologizing saying they confirmed with warehouse that my order shipped. But are blaming the lack of tracking info on UPS/USPS, allow 10 days BS

I think that live albums shouldn't be edited outside from a good mix. In that sense, is like a photograph. In that regard they nailed considering that every live release they had in the past was edited or overdubbed in studio later.

That I felt that was missing was the alternative mixes that are of some songs. It could be added with the b-sides of the sessions. But this is the way to celebrate an album. Well done

I picked up #6431 of the silver vinyl tonight and now I'm listening to the Longshot.

There's the primordial soup called Black Eye Liner that spawned so many songs and Goodbye To Romance had that 21st Century Breakdown riff.

Now I wonder if Love Is For Losers is just a bunch of leftover Green Day tunes and also,

The history behind each of Green Day's songs.

Well, gotta go dance at the apocalypse now.

- The one demo song that the majority of people like is basically just a summary of songs we've heard before (COS, KYF etc)
- The Live CD has been partially released before, dosen't really feel like a new release of something we haven't heard
- Half of the live CD is just Billie goofing around
- The original CD is the same, maybe some alternative mixing would have been cool?

- The harmonica in Walking Alone is perfect for TikTok 😉

These are just my thoughts after all the hype, I would have loved a bit more creative material when it comes to the release (maybe except for the demo CD).
Love the album cover tho.

Has anyone else ordered the foam finger? Anyone get any shipping updates on it?

At bottom of site there's a contact link to report any issues. So thought I'd give it a go and sent of email via link. Got a reply.

"This email address does not exist, unable to send."

WTF.

I got my silver copy in from Monster yesterday (which btw, if you haven’t purchased yet, will be $100 with no tax/free shipping this Saturday as part of their monthly 20% off all vinyl sale).

I listened to the whole thing and wow, beautiful pressing for the vinyl and just a magical experience all around. I love this era so much and can still clearly remember 13 year old me listening to this the day it came out in 97. Loved it then, love it now. The Electric Factory show is also amazing here. Even the demos are fun and will get replay value from me. All in all a great set here.
