This is the same guy who wished death upon Steve Jobs, but has probably owned every iPhone model since 2010

Fun fact: You can hate the creator/inventor of something and still like or use that something. I dislike Markie Z a lot but I still use FB for events and to keep in contact with family, I also enjoy a certain animated tv show even tho the creator is an ass and I think he should be fired. These things can coexist.

What things can he do to help while in the US that he can't do from outside the US? What do you even expect him to do to help, except use his platform to speak out as he's already doing (and that he can do exactly the same whatever country he's in)?

I

As President of the United States he would have a better opportunity to promote an end to nuclear weapons.    As of right now unless he has actually renounced his citizenship he has a change to be able to become President based on the fact he is over 45 and is a born citizen of the United States.... renouncing his citizenship gives all that up.

Well, you know, in theory, technically, any American citizen over 45 could try to run for presidency, but there’s a reason 99,9% of people who are eligible don’t… having the right to do something doesn’t make it a good idea

It’s actually 35 not 45 so he’s been eligible for many years and the fact that he hasn’t done it by now but has instead chosen to remain a musician should tell you something

Also how is the privilege angle even relevant? Him being able to leave doesn't negatively impact those who can't, and isn't the reason they can't. This idea that it's somehow outrageous or controversial to move to a different country seems very American. There isn't anything wrong with moving to a different country and it's a normal thing that millions of people do. And he probably isn't even going to lol, he's likely just expressing his frustration with what's going on.

How is privilege not relevant? Having financial mobility is what keeps some places poor and others rich. It contributes to gentrification. There's nothing wrong with relocating. I'm just saying that most people can't afford it. It's like a school system. If the town school sucks, rich parents can afford to send their kids to private or use school choice. Poor parents don't have that luxury; they have to stay and deal with the shitty school. Choice is a privilege.

Billie would be shittier than Trump.

I hated Trump. But Billie isn't a politician.

You're right. But it's still not relevant to whether he should move or not or whether it's ok for him to move or not, because it doesn't have a negative or positive effect on anyone but himself. If he was saying everyone should leave or whatever then it would be relevant.

I do see that there's a privilege to being able to move out anywhere completely hassle-free thanks to being hella rich, but it's also worth noting that a lot of people get a better living standard once they leave the US, simply because many countries are way cheaper to live in, have better welfare system etc.

Don't do it Billie Joe!  I was going to be president once, but then I read the fine print and decided not to do it.   You can't drive a car ever again.  You can't have any privacy ever again.  Your phone is tapped, a security detail is assigned to be around you until you die, and it's not for your protection so much as to make sure you don't let any secure info out.   It's a bad thing.  Don't be president, guys.     The pay sucks and not being able to drive myself to Walmart would be a huge bummer.
