My wife doest like them or hate them but she loves the “Ordinary World” song. Thats it, thats the only Green Day she really loves !! It got quite a lot of media attention both back then and recently with the ten year anniversary. It’s likeable enough and it’s very touching. It was written for her, after all. My friends are fans but they were fans in the early 2000s so they don't really listen to them. I think in both cases, they just happened to hear it from a friend who had it on a playlist or something. I mean to be fair, when I say they aren't Green Day fans, I just meant they don't follow them or actively choose to listen to them.
