Is it just me or has Billie lost some weight?

Looks like Billie did lose a bit since Rock in Rio. I’ve been concerned about him after seeing Rock In Rio.

He’s getting a little too big for someone of his stature. He’s up there in age too so hopefully it’s not a serious health thing.

Yeah a few pounds disappear just from cutting down on that

We saw it in the nineties with him. That was alcohol weight. Then 2002-2012 it was cocaine and pills skinny. Now he’s back to beer.

Exactly...I was watching the Diane Sawyer special on Matthew Perry the other night and I couldn't help but draw comparisons between him and Billie.  Matthew said when he was fat on the show it was alcohol and when he got painfully skinny, it was pills.

I thought the same thing! I read a review of the book, it was horrifying but explained a lot. Addiction follows very predictable patterns, even with the people around you. It said everyone just left him to it until it got to the point where it was threatening others’ livelihoods, then they stepped in. That’s a lot like how iHeart went down.

It also made me realize that the only time Billie really did maintain a healthy weight was during those five years he was clean and sober.

Is there any evidence that he was doing cocaine?

I’ve heard the claims before but not sure how true they are

I know others who have witnessed it so I can tell you it’s true even though I can’t offer actual “proof” beyond that.

All I know is that he had a binge during the trilogy promo

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong went on a drug fueled rant in 2012 at a iHeart festival concert after Green Day’s set was cut short, saying he wasn’t Justin Bieber, and later smashing his guitar. Armstrong had relapsed on cocaine, and went to rehab after the show.

In a 2016 interview with Kerrang! magazine, Armstrong discussed how a cocaine binge while recording their Uno, Dos and Tre album in 2012 led to him not remembering almost the entire recording and promoting process.

But Armstrong denies that the song is any kind of comment on the contemporary music scene and the ascendancy of superstar DJs like Skrillex and Deadmau$. “No, not at all,” he says. “I hope some of those people take that track and remix it! I think the line ‘Kill the DJ’ is more a take on all these opinions you get when you watch television these days—anything from Bill Maher to Bill O’Reilly: culture wars and all that; the static noise that keeps coming at you. And there’s that moment when you just say, ‘Shut the fuck up!’ That’s my take on it: ‘Just give me fuckin’ peace.’ Also, the song has the vibe of a party that’s gone gross—the feeling that everyone’s in the bathroom at the same time doing cocaine together.”

I thought Billie had said in interviews that his drug of choice back in the day was meth amphetamine?

That was earlier.  He’s done everything at least once.  At the Coverups show he said “I’ll do anything twice” and he said he’s done acid twice. Point being, yes he’s done coke along with a million other drugs but went to rehab for alcohol, Xanax and Klonopin.

The Trilogy totally has a vibe of a cocaine binge. That actually explains a lot 😂

Yeah, poor boy...I hear Xanax and Klonopin are a bitch to get off of.  😔

He was he living in Manhattan while writing the Trilogy, right?  While playing St. Jimmy on Bway?

Everyone and their mother have done coke a few times. I’m not even rich and I know several people who have had a problem with it. When someone is in entertainment, it’s a safe bet they did it.

It’s the worst. Not that other drugs are a breeze to get off of, but benzos have long lasting withdrawal and often cause permanent damage.

Is Billie currently drinking again? I mean around the time of the FOAM promo there were many pictures with beer and alcohol. But during the last few months I only saw pictures in which he was having water oder coca cola while others had alcohol 🤔

I've only heard of the brutual withdrawal.  What type of permanent damage do they do?

Looks like I should have quoted someone. I asked because it was mentioned that he may have gained weight because he's drinking too much beer.
