I've been reading on the COTA website.....apparently if you didn't purchase or don't have a parking pass, you won't even be allowed onto COTA Blvd....and the only parking passes they have still available are the 3 day parking passes at $180. Looks like they do have several park and ride shuttles that I am looking at now.

Ugh, I hate to say it but this just seems to be turning out to be more of a cluster fuck than I had planned on. Kinda considering if I even wanna go at this point. 😞 😞 😞 Not to sound like a Debbie Downer or anything,......I just know it's gonna be INSANE to get in and out of......

F1 attracts really big crowds so it is always a bit of a nightmare logistically.  I have only been once and it was great, a real experience, even without Green Day.  I’m sure it’ll be worth it in the end.  Have a great time everyone!

If it were just me, I'd no doubt be going.......but my sister and sister in law will be going. Neither one of them are technically "fans" of Green Day.......my sister especially. They are both just going for me. lol And my sister really doesn't do well with crowds, and anything out of her normal routine. I might just let her know that it truly is going to be a cluster fuck and see what she thinks. They both have to work today so we won't even be getting there until close to the end of the races.

But yes, I agree....... HAVE A GREAT TIME EVERYONE!!!! 🙂 🙂Let's hold out hope that they'll premiere You Irritate Me live for us! (We can dream, right???)

I suppose you will have the advantage that you aren’t arriving for the race with everyone else!

This is true.......

No doubt it will be nuts, like a big festival atmosphere. We have downtown shuttle tickets because it seemed like an easier in and out than trying to get a rideshare from where they make you go for that (at a nearby high school late at night, and then you still need a shuttle from the grounds).  Just got a treat it like an adventure and certainly one of the most unusual GD shows you’ll ever see (setlist notwithstanding)

Yeh when I went to my first race earlier this year it took a whole hour to get from my seat out of the actual venue, and then an extra half hour just to get back to my coach (and that was one with no gigs on so no extra people coming just for the bands). These things are usually really badly organised in terms of managing the crowds both inside and outside of the grounds but you've just gotta be really really patient and remember that seeing your fave band in this kind of environment is likely a once in a lifetime opportunity (and not even that for a lot of people) so it'll be worth it in the end.

I hope that’s not the case here because they said the shuttle stops running one hour after the event ends

When we went to this venue in 2017 we got a Lyft that dropped us where the line started. Don't know if that's possible today?

Different thing entirely with F1. Rideshare isn’t allowed near the venue there’s a remote dropoff location and shuttle. Shuttles seem to be the easiest way in and out and it’s a hike from the event entrance to the stage area

I’m here! I’m the one in the grey GD cassette shirt and the red flannel. Feel free to say hi!

The main issue at mine was that there was only one exit so all the people had to get out one door. I'm assuming it shouldn't be as bad in most other places, might still take a little while though. Also I don't know how they do it at this one but when I went they had different roads blocked off when I went in than they did when I came out so even outside of the venue it was difficult to get around/out as we couldn't go the way we knew. Just make sure you know where to get the shuttle from and how to get to it beforehand so you don't have to think about it when you get out incase things have been changed.

Ahhh the classic one way in one way out scenario

In this day and age who comes up with logistics like that?

Looks like the show may not have started yet

Seen several people complaining about organisation at the venue on Twitter and one person saying they'll be on stage around 8.30 pm local time

I'm surprised they didn't play You Irritate Me, which is technically their latest single

Probably not at an event like this? Lots of F1 fans as well as GD fans?
