Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted March 30, 2022 Share Posted March 30, 2022 I don't know if it's relevant to this show or how it's set up but I was at this venue for the 2017 show and it's a very long run from the entrance to the pit and people will really push when they remove the barricades at the front of the line. I'm hoping maybe you can resell the ticket through other avenues. Or shoot, maybe even sell it outside the venue when you are there......??? pacejunkie punk Posted June 12, 2022 Share Posted June 12, 2022 So for anyone planning to go to this just a heads up — I realized today the event was only four months away and thought I’d check out hotels and was surprised to see every downtown Austin hotel for that weekend was sold out and the ones that weren’t in the outlying areas had astronomical prices, more than double what they usually are. I considered myself lucky to get a hotel in the South Austin/Airport/F1 area and don’t even want to tell you what I paid. Then I panicked and thought I better find a flight, and for the flights remaining the cost was also outrageous, and all that was left was predawn or overnight flights. So apparently the F1 Grand Prix is like the freaking Superbowl of racing events so if you haven’t made travel plans yet for this (I have my show tickets so had no choice but to pay whatever I could to travel and stay there) I suggest you do it asap before everything is booked solid. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I’m sure there’s a lot of people booking AirB&Bs as well. I was just checking my ticket. i know the race is at 8am as thats what it says on my groundpass ticket (i had to buy on top of the ticket to see Green Day) it says 8am but GD don't play til 8pm or later in the day i believe? Anyone else's saying 8am too?
