1972, isn’t that when they were all born? Album title?

That, or a song title were my thoughts too, or both.

If it's a full album, we'll probably hear 3 songs before its release. If it's an EP, we might hear 1 song before its release

Btw should the Album 14 Speculation Thread be closed if this thread exists now? Seems like the same conversation is happening in both

I think February 17 would be a great day to release an LP or EP called 1972

my guess when i saw the "1972"

with the rumours about them recording 6 new songs in london i expect them to release an EP on billies bday in 2022, it would also support the hella mega shows in europe next summer (if they can take place)

new music is always nice, and its good to see them releasing new stuff this frequently since foam (all the standalone songs, now possibly a new EP), but i would prefer a solid new LP instead of 1 song here, 2 songs there

I prefer music more frequently as long as it’s good. If it takes longer to release something of better quality that’s ok too.

Yeah I like having Green Day around more often, I hated the days when they'd go hibernate for years after an album cycle.

I love having it all. The songs here and there are like B-Sides without having to wait for a record that might drop them off. I want them all. All of it. Example: the waiting for Dreamcatcher. These days I would love if they release one-offs. It’s like streaming has brought back the format of a 45. One song here and there with a B-Side while we wait for the LP.

I’m down for an EP or a single. And then an LP please. I want everything. Even the crap. There is no crap. This is Green Day. Green Day rules all. Even the songs they don’t release are amazing. Release them please ❤️

And I do not like the hibernation too much. This past year (aside from Hella Mega with no interviews) was so ghostly. This is better. I love new music and speculation and engagement. Especially during these trying times.

Hallelujah being teased and sharing randomness on the band and band members Instagram is a seasons greeting miracle. I am so excited and happy about a lot right now.

Let’s hope Chris Dugan, (phenomenal engineer), is not mixing!

YES! Bring CLA back!! But judging from that clip, that's definitely not him :(

I know people complain about rev rad, but I did not hate scheps at all. Can’t tell if I didn’t like the underlying production or mixing on FOAM

I was aiming at Chris Dugan comment specifically. Scheps did a great job on Revolution Radio, but still, nothing beats CLA.

If I was to choose the mixer between Chris Dugan and Andrew Scheps, I'd always pick Scheps.
