Billie wrote this opening riff for this Interrupters song. It’s the same one, just slowed down a bit now:

Wow that’s insanely similar. Don’t like that.

Especially a band that owns their own studios they certainly don’t need to pay for one to record in unless they’ve got big ambitions beyond what their studios can deliver.  That goes for the cost of hiring Cavallo and CLA too.

Don’t they always use CLA?

That would be cool, although the album 14 timeline on greenday.fm confirms that singles (plural) will be released in 2023.

Then late November or early December? is a 2nd release date but I don't expect January month as the album release time. Sometime in February...

A fairly unique song title.   The only song called American Dream I know if from Cold.     The American Dream is Killing Me.   Interesting.   Major Breakdown vibes.  Like 21 Guns which is literally about Billie Joe being pummeled by the weight of American Idiot and how he just wanted to just give up.       This could be the concept album story of how Green Day have struggled with their Post Idiot success and maybe some really personal stories from their lives.     Music kind of drives me crazy that it's so vague most of the time.    I know Rock Stars including Green Day keep their personal lives personal, but I want raw dirt.       I love it when a singer really goes hard, family and friends and THEMSELVES be damned.   Speak your truth.     But again, I get that its' a safety thing.   But whatever.

GREEN DAY 14!   I'm still holding on to a blue album cover, but I will concede there may be pink and black.

I've been waiting a long time for this album to come if I am destined to hear anything at all...all..all....

I dig the alarm clock sound to the new teaser video.

Chris Dugan I think mixed FOAM

Tchad Blake mixed most of FOAM, dugan did sugar youth I believe, and the one offs/BJA covers/network stuff after that

Finally, we have a date!! I thought that it would’ve been earlier than three weeks from now, but I can wait a bit longer given how long we’ve already waited. A new GD song and my FOB gig within 3 days of each other will be wild.

Those 15 esconds are enough to be better than FOAM

You're right.  I didn't think topping FOAM was possible, but I think they just may have done it.

I don’t know how I feel about them channeling American Idiot with the new record. Seems to raise expectations to an unreasonable level, but hopefully it’s a bounce back after FOAM 🤞

If it's actually justified, THAT would be incredible.   Heck, even if it's a swing and a miss, I'd be proud of them for shooting to the stars.   People complain about a re-hash, yet people hate new sounds so it's got to be an incredibly balanced sound that will appeal to both sides.

And by both sides, I mean boneheads who like Dookie on one side and us sophisticated genius's that love FOAM and Trilogy for the high concept dregidetory art pieces they are on the other side......

Just kidding....about the bonehead part anyway.    I think if Green Day would have replaced "Stab You in the Heart" and "Ready Fire Aim" with One Eyed Bastard and ARt of the Deal with Devil, FOAM would have been perfect.   Those two songs are a little skippy.    The rest of the album?   Probably Green Day's best album.
