Although we were hearing it through someone’s smartphone, along with the fact Billie was having audio issues with his earpiece!!! And nerves probably came into play as they were playing the song for the first time.

The lyrics and everything sucked. Not just a sound quality issue.

I’m loving this teaser campaign so far! Up there with the Trilogy!

This has been a sucky campaign.

I would love if this was like the Trilogy.

So far just sucky songs and a sucky campaign.

The Trilogy was way better promo, teasers, songs.

I hope the singles and 1981 were just tests and not what the new album is going to be like.

Holy Toledo was good. I would love that for how the new album is going to sound and feel but it doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen. Here Comes the Pollyanna 1981 Shock.

The teasers always got me hyped. The only downside is the length of time. If we do indeed get the first single in October, it will be 2 years since the sessions began, and then December will be 2 years since the first teaser!!!

what i like about the teasers is, that the band themself is joking around with the WMUWSE and the death of billies dad,, finally all the crybabies who cared more about this than billie himself can stop the "omg its so sad dont joke around with WMUWSE, bc if u do i am gonna cry" ahahahahaha

What do you guys think the first single would be?

1981?

Saviors?

American Dream?

Pretty sure it's not 1981..

Why the hell would they let us hear the lead single so  goddamn early ??

I think it's been already a month since we've heard it.

Just pure speculation, but someone mentioned that someone said somewhere that his uncle, who is an insider, said that Operation is part of the title of the album or single.

If the font analysis of the mystery website done here is correct (Capital bolded letters from Green Day, rest is the album title), we likely have two words in the album title since we have two capital letters, an extra t and a p from NopE:
O…
T…

Operation Timebomb?

Fitting the dates pattern (1972, 1981), tribute to Operation Ivy and Tim? 1972 is dead cause it was timebombed? 👀

Just excitement led speculation, forgive me 🥲

Edit: Nevermind, there’s a capital P in Nope. Operation Private Timebomb 🥴

Not to throw a wet blanket on the letters in the website theories, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it meant nothing. It could just be different fonts and capitalization is an aesthetic to look edgy.

You could so be right

If there's one thing we know, it's that they really suck at promotion and teasers. Lord, do they suck. Hell, Panicland really put them to shame last time. Now that was what you would call great promotion/teasing...

Still love 'em though. How couldn't I.

Rather than how much they suck at it (they don’t actually do any of that), is how much they are willing to pay for it. Or how much Warner does.
Hiring the right (expensive) agency and creatives they can get the best promotional campaign. I guess them or the label didn’t consider that a priority or something worth spending money on in the recent past (this campaign is still about to start, let’s see maybe they surprise us).

Agree with @HAPPY FINKING UNICORN, I was going to say, I thought FOAM was supposed to be “slick marketing” by Crush!

@MillenniumFan Ilove your work on this, I spent way too long yesterday looking at the possibilities.  Re the P, all I came up with was “do we know Billie doesn’t want to name a whole album Platypus.” 😂

I hope it is something more, I just can’t bring myself to hold my breath.

PROvE mE wRONG GREEN DAY.

JASON implied the fonts meant something, he's the guy in the know here

Yeah literally everything that account is saying is stuff we already know about (1981, Saviors, One Eyed Bastard) or that can be reasonably assumed i.e Early 2024, 2 songs in 2023

2 songs in 2023 sounds like a liberal guess. Im thinking 1 song as single. Then 2024. And maybe another single with the release of the album
