ARE WE, WE ARE!!! ARE WE, WE ARE THE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIITING!!!!

...Green Day's coming down across the alley way! up on the boulevard like a zip gun on parade...

I just noticed the change of narrator in that song. The first verse is an outside perspective.  Jimmy's coming to town, Jimmy's doing this and that.  Then after the count of one, two, one two three four, the narrator IS Jimmy.    Very interesting.   Was it Whatshername in the beginning, witnessing Jimmy's arrival into town?

And will we hear more from these characters in 2024?   Maybe it's not a concept album, but they do make appearances in certain songs throughout the album.

Also, How Whatshername Has Been would be a crazy song title.

Didn’t we already get something for the 25th?

For dookie there was never an anniversary eddition. Hoping for it to be remembered for its 30th. But hope it doesn't push the new album release for late 24

What world were you living in that we got something for dookie? The Woodstock vinyl which just marked the 25th of Woodstock and even then was just for record store day?

More excited about a 30th anniversary dookie edition with that session's versión of Christie road, remastered dookie demos with jar and haushinka and Road to acceptance, only of you and dominated LOVE salve live versions from st. Petersburg, Florida, than for a new record with songs like pollyana or foam

Regarding 2024, all we have to go by was this article about Rob Cavallo's studio setup

https://www.solidstatelogic.com/media/rob-cavallo-captures-big-studio-sound-with-big-six

But last year, Billie himself said 2023

And after Warning C&V was set for 2003

But Billie has a history of talking shite 🙃

I think its just more of how things were progressing at the time he was asked.

Imagine the interviews for the new album!

Interviewer: So what happened to the 1972 album?

Billie: We went into RAK one day and discovered that the computer was hacked. All the songs were gone! So we went to United Studios in LA to start from scratch.

Mike: We had backups but we realized it just wasn't maximum Green Day firing on all cylinders!

Remember, you should always get ready first.  Aim second. And finally, fire on every cylinder.

I was flipping through my Nobody Likes You book the other night and that firing on all cylinders is in there.

I wonder how many cylinders Green Day has.  🤔

Album 14: Where Are All the Cylinders!

19-Cylinder-D-2

1. 19 Cylinders

2. We Lost Some Cylinders

3. 1981

4. R2D2

5. Yoda Travels Through Time With The Snoo...

Wait, do these still irritate some people?

6. You Irrritate Me (15 Minute Space Opera Mix)

7. Haushinka Part Dos

8. Still A Blast

8. She's At It Again (She's Gonna Take it for a joy ride anyway)

9.  All By My Lonesome

11.  I am Dog.

I do think we will get some Dookie and Idiot references, possibly sequel songs.

I mean based on the way popular music has gone over the past 15-20 years this should have been album of the year then lol

Wasnt it like 2011 when Kanye made an album with bass that sounded like a broken subwoofer for the whole album? Someone around that time told me that was one of the best albums ever made. Society loves shit.

This would be a good time for Green Day to release more archival stuff from the vault while we wait for something new. Wish they’d do that more often. What ever happened to that Oakland Coffeehouse thing where you signed up and saw rare videos and BTS stuff? Another idea that lasted just as long as it took to harvest our data 😠

Right. Were spending so much of our lives not hearing this stuff from the vault. Why do we have to wait 30 plus years give or take to get the really good stuff. I’m going to be 70 and finally hearing the demos from American Idiot and 21st Century for the first time.

- Viva La Gloria

- Rusty James

- Dirty Rotten Bastards

- X-Kid

- Too Dumb To Die

- Forever Now

are some of my favourite tracks in post-American Idiot albums. Hopefully we will have more to add to this list with the new album.
