DookieLukie
New Staind song is solid. Hard to put aside Aaron Lewis’ extremist politics but art from artist I suppose.
Popular Post dudley dawson
I’m not a fan of Foo Fighters but they have a much more adept social media team than Green Day has. One week out from initial teasing they released a single and album announcement. Meanwhile, Green Day started teasing this project 16 months ago so now expectations are much higher than they probably should be. And we still have no clue when it’s coming. Sigh.
Popular Post pacejunkie punk
Clearly the original 1972 that was recorded in London was a different project than what we’re getting now. The whole 1972 thing stopped around last August even though they continued working in the studio. I hope journalists are clued in enough when they interview them to ask what the story was and why this project seemed to evolve and take so long.

And honestly this isn’t the first time they took this long to finish an album. RevRad was started in 2014 and was released in October 2016. And if you combine C&V and American Idiot, those sessions started in 2002 and the album came out in September 2004!!! The only difference here is that they started teasing way too soon!!! AI to 21CB would like to have a word with you. That was an eternity.

Popular Post alienlifeform
If they wait every other rock band to stop releasing shit to have the perfect window relese, this album will never come. Sucha shame for them... as I alwayssay, their mkt strategy is terrible, but this time they streched their boundries

But something tells me at least some of it if not all of it survived since they were using the 1972 tag through the time Rob came on board and they went back to the old AI studio.

Because I would think since Mike didn’t make the first London trip and recorded remotely, they probably felt it wasn’t maximum Green Day firing on all cylinders, not being all in the same room together. And yes, they came to LA and I remember your daughter saw them at Henson. And then at one point they were able to go back to London with Mike. And also, if anything we heard in the teasers was scrapped, those teasers probably would’ve been taken down

Ahhhhhh now I’m back to I can’t wait instead of frustrated they’re taking so long. The idea of putting the year 1972 on a project made me think it might have been a retrospective record and maybe a little boring since the band has been recording and releasing records for so long they seem like basically detailed a detailed diary of times past in song form. Now I’m excited they may be out of the 1972 lane and the songwriting would be more about old and new and a wide array of interesting themes and stories. The Trilogy is still my fav record because of the risks and diversity of the songs compared to the entire Green Day album discography.

Cunt
I don’t think them delaying anything, if they did, has anything to do with other artists releasing anything. just off the top of my head I know they released Bang Bang the same week as a new Bon Jovi and Metallica singles and Uno was released the same day as Mumford and Sons album.

Popular Post ThranaM
Guys, it doesn't matter. The new album can't be released before the music video for Forever Now is done and published. And that was teased 6 years ago. It doesn't make any sense to put out a new album first (FOAM doesn't count because it's shit) 😏 5
