Jesus Christ, I’ve almost forgotten those teasers. Man it’s been so long since they started to tease us😂

One year ago this month actually, December 19th to be exact. And it was around this time last year we already started hearing the rumors they recorded 6 songs!!

What if early 1972 just sounded like an extension of FOAMF, so they got Rob involved to help make it sound more traditional green day. Then finished it on while the hella mega was in hiatus for a few months, but didn't have enough time to promote it before the tour started back so are waiting til early 2023 to start promoting it with a clean slate. I've been up for 26 hours

To piggy back off this. A few of the early teasers sound very FOAMF. The very first one at at RAK London, and then the "show this song to your dog" one in particular; everything after that teaser started sounding more like what we are used to from the band (even a bit heavier maybe?)

Lol remember when Billie Joe accidentally leaked a photo of what may have been crude 1972 album art? Whatever happened there...

What about the 2nd one where Billie is playing his guitar and everything is moving backwards?

I hope it sounds exactly like foam.  Like some of the same songs even.     Then pizzagate and pool party from The Network.

And the same cover, but uglier.

If Green Day is your favorite and or your only band you listen to like most of you are this has to be tough for you. It's not only Green Day but all those irrelevant other bands you listen to most bands seem to have that old ten years and older model where you can lead your fans on plus add months or a year after announcing an album to actually release it. Bands need to get with the times. Artist's I seen in other genres drop  either unannounced albums or drop albums in a month or two from first single being released. I use to be able to wait but this is hard to follow. Your logic about how it should come out at the end of the year or mid year next year makes no sense. I use to be able to wait for a new Green Day album but after FOAM, 1972 which I doubt thats the title because it is a shitty title, I lost faith in what this band can do. If it comes it comes. Spending any time in this thread more than this post right here would just be a waste of time. Have fun wasting your lives on this topic!

Guys , if you had sex with your partner last year around this time ,you could've had a child by now.

Yeah that's how long we've waited but still no proper announcements

What are some new bands you are into?

This is the 'new class' of bands for me

Viagra Boys, Highly Suspect, Alex Cameron, IV and the Strange Band and Oliver Tree.

It's not easy for band's these days post COVID, see @pacejunkie punk excellent comments in Nimrod topic. There's so many issues in the world that are affecting album releases not least cost.

I'm sorry you think that way. Every minute I spend on here is precious, never a waste of time, I've learnt so much more about GD and treasure being part of this awesome GD community.

There are things going on behind the scenes we know nothing about. I'm sure when new album is released it will worth the wait.

I've had to wait for album releases over the last 30+ years, but never regretted it. Love yer.

Just ignore Eric. He's an ass and probably a troll

Just cuz I don't feel like reading through 265 pages of bullshit, has anything actually happened or just those teasers and hashtags? TIA

Nothing has happened. We basically know the album is coming out in 2023 but that's still just about it

Nothing major has happened. There's no official data as of yet.

I think the band is taking their time.

I hope 1972 doesn't feel the need to end the album on a ballad. If it works it works but to many times it just feels like they do it because that's what your supposed to do at the end of an slbum

Looking at you ordinary world
