Was there actually a secret show or is this entire thread a joke?

I made this setlist up to prove that the first one is probably also fake, just sayin

You are saying you were there.

What happened during Brainstew to where they couldn't finish?  Did you witness the moment that Mr. Redundant himself actually got sick of playing a certain song?

Or did Tre Cool party too hard and lose control?

Did Mike Dirnt have a panic attack?

They kind of got their momentum back for "Untitled" but then everything stopped.

What happened?

I wonder if they'll release something on Tre's birthday, since it's the last one of the year. My apologizes if this has been suggested already, I only skimmed through the thread

I think they will definitely release something at some point in the future. I am certain we will get an announcement, a single, an album when the release date for any one of these things comes. I'm even predicting we perhaps get another album a few years down the line, with a possible single or singles beforehand. these things will all happen either before, after, or on at least somebody's birthday.

Let’s start an Album 15 speculation thread 😆

It astounds me that even after Billie has confirmed 2023 as a date, we are still sitting here with predictions that something is due to be announced at any given time.

December wouldn’t be good as labels are pretty much shut down from thanksgiving to mid January

Is there a specific time in the year where labels prefer to release new music over other times? I noticed the majority of Green Day albums have had an October release date. A few in September as well.

I've also noticed a lot of September/October release dates for Rush albums as well.

I mean, hey, you never know. He didn't say anything about a single, so for all we know, the single could be out in November before the holidays, and then the album in February-March?

A lot of factors play into it for established artists they will go off past albums sales etc

but the executives and the people who have say so usually go on vacation from thanksgiving to after new years so labels only have skeleton crews during Nov-Jan

I also have a feeling that major labels like to release albums of their best selling artists around September/October. In general, the time before Christmas is the strongest for sales. But someone here (I can't remember who) once said that it could be benefitial for Green Day to release albums in January/February because in these months there isn't that much competition in the charts.

I’ll say it one final time: 2023.

I mean, that’s what I said but I was talking about the first single

That sounds a little sad though. Since when are they afraid of a little competition?

I'm hoping we soon get a magazine article from Kerrang or Alternative Press where the writers get an exclusive first listen at the album, they reveal a couple song titles, and they describe each track. I think it was Alternative Press that did this for 21CB. I remember they described Know Your Enemy as being reminiscent of a Dookie track, and Before The Lobotomy having a Beatlesque intro.

They’re always way off with their descriptions of course but it is fun to read about what the album sounds like.

Same thing with Bang Bang, someone I think said it sounded like a Kerplunk track!

They should push everything back to 2024 out of spite

What did we do? We're just excited. Would they rather no one talked about it or gave a shit when they were releasing new music?
