He said it on stage during HAR (there’s a video in the show thread). It’s consistent with what he told Kerrang that he might be moving there for at least part time.

I wonder if they’ll use RAK for all future albums moving forward

How many tracks do you think 1972 will have?

Do you think it'll be less than average amount like FOAM (10 songs or *shudders* less?)

An average amount for a Green Day record (12 to 13 songs)

Or above average amount like 21st Century. (15 or more.)

They've been recording for a while but I don't think that has to do with album length. I see this album having the standard 12 tracks. Maybe more since he has time to write more while they tour. I'm predicting 12-14 tracks. I wouldn't mind a double album though.

the Green Day average is 13.07, so 13 songs and a short, joke song at the end.  ;)

With this leg of the tour ending next Saturday, I have a feeling we're about to be flooded with new 1972 information!!!!! My money is on a mid-July single!!!!

Idk. if they put out a single on July is still so far from 2023. For me it's more likely Sep/Oct single and Feb/March album released, just like Magnum opus of an inglorious kind.

I wonder when that interview was conducted. Because plans can change, and judging by their clear enthusiasm in the teasers, 2023 seems too far away

I am hoping for a sharp left turn into Stoner Country Rock.

With some Trilogy flourishes shining past the sludgeness.

Sorry if this has been discussed already as I have not really been active on here in the last year that much, but what If it’s not only an album, but also an official biopic?

i could honestly see it, I mean they’d have a ton to show and talk about at this point in their career, It would have to be like 3 hours long tho lol

I would love nothing more than a tell all from them, but it seems to me it's too early for that if that ever happens.

Judging by the teasers, it looks like they're making a documentary of the making of 1972. And I seriously hope it won't be a Disney Plus or Paramount Plus exclusive!!!!

I don't know why but the idea of Green Day making an exclusive documentary or biopic for the big mouse over at Disney makes me laugh. Could definitely see something being exclusive but my best guess would be Hulu exclusive. Doesn't seem like something Paramount would be into.

Would be cool if Green Day had a funny-bio movie like The Dirt with Motley Crüe. They have so much anecdote it could easily be a 2 hours movie.

I can see Paul Rudd as Billie Joe and Jeff Daniels as Tré Cool.

I think Hulu is owned by Disney too

Well okay, but I'm playing Mike Dirnt.   :)

Realistically, I could maybe make a decent Jason White.    All I need is a good toupee.

Don't know if this is wind up, or if I've missed it on hear, been told release date is set for October 2022. That's 3 months away. Pissed off if that's true.
