What if it's actually they change things up this time and the lead single is actually a massive power ballad instead of a rocker? I'm imagining Green Day performing on the pedestals from Wake Me Up When September Ends as the zombie apocalypse burns the world to the ground below them. Heck, what if we see the boy and girl from the video as zombies? That would be cool. He'd be more decomposed that her and I'm good with anything defiling American Idiot like FOAM did. Maybe everyone from every other Green Day video returns as the undead. And while you guys have concerns lingering from eras past, I don't. I have the slight concern that one day, there WILL be an album I don't like as much as I've liked all the rest. Will this be the one? Popular Post Red Posted October 12, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted October 12, 2023 I am still skeptical and I am going to remain skeptical until I've heard the full album because in my experience that's the best way to avoid being disappointed and have the best time with an entertainment product... BUT I have gotta say it sounds like they have NAILED the production this time around. No more loudness wars, no more laser beam pew pews, just Green Day doing what they do best with top tier sounding instruments and fantastic balance, volume levels and mixing as the icing on the cake.
