Can’t remember the source but he said in an interview he regrets the name and it’s “the worst in rock” I believe.

FF announced an album for June 2nd yesterday.

So announcement 1.5 months before the album.  Compared to other announcements, this is almost like a surprise album drop.   And for non-GDC folk, Green Day's new album will be a total surprise as well.

So yes, could still be on track.

A big page from Mexico that always post about some shows in advance, posted suggesting Green Day will play there in 2024.

I read that too. Not sure how reliable that source is but usually the band tour Mexico and South America 1 year after the album come out. So I'm guessing they will be there by the end of next year or so.

It's not GD related, I guess.

Dang, that spark of hope lost.

Someone on the other Green Day forum (the one that doesn’t forget to pay its bills) said some Mexican concert series accounts tweeted that Green Day is setting up a Mexico tour in 2024. They also said that means album is coming soon, although I’m not sure why that would indicate that.

Wondering why them scheduling a concert in Mexico in 2024 would indicate an album is coming soon.

I can't remember if Jason Freese, like his brotherJosh, works/tours with lots of other bands. Does anyone know?

Edit: just answered my own question. Seems he's also worked with a lot of other bands in the past

They released RevRad in october 2016 and they came to South America in november 2017, if they play in Mexico or South America in 2024 then the album is definitely going to be released in 2023

Is that a rule or something?

What this band has done in the past has no bearing on the future, in my opinion.

Not a rule, but almost every band do it. It's very normal for american or european bands to leave south american or mexico at the ending of their tour. I doubt this is an exception, and it's not something only Green Day does :(

He produced a lot for Zebrahead and I think one of their music videos was filmed at his house

Yes and did some back vocals and co-wrote for a few songs.

Earliest prediction on my video contest is May 6th, 2023.   That's fast approaching.

Latest is Foamy February 2024.

How about we forget the Dookie vibes and go with a Father of All Idiots combo?

Or what we really, really want.....

A Dos of All...

Dos and Father of all.   Lady Cobra rapping over Blood on the Dance Floor samples mixed with more Gary Glitter.

Don't forget all the other Mystic Knights of the Cobra.   Those guys needs jobs, haha!

What other Trilogy-isms should come back?  Billie should remain healthy, but I say bring back a TON of it.

Lady Cobra as guitarist/vocalist/songwriter.  obviously.      Mike Dirnt singing about Jesus again.

and Green Day playing new songs!    It would be so amazing in 2023 if Billie stopped playing Basketcase and just glared at the audience for a bit.   Looked at his guitar.   Asked if everyone is ready.     Says he doesn't think anyone's ready and then...actually plays several new songs.    several old songs.

 OH YEAH.
