The way I see it, as long as Billie still wants to write songs and perform, we’re good. It doesn’t really matter if it’s Green Day or The Longshot or solo. After all, it’s always his songs so it’s not that much of a deal if he performs on his own. He’s not stealing anybody’s spotlight by doing so, but yeah I see that it feels different.

Musically that’s true, I just thought they were one of those bands that was in it together for the long haul, at least that’s how they always talked about it.  I love everything Billie does, but I don’t want to see Green Day drift apart.

I think they are. Billie's always done stuff on the side plus he's likely going to perform a Green Day song on this anyway. They've mostly been more separate this last year because of covid, soon enough they'll be playing together/touring/making albums together again.

I’m guessing the members from either FOB or Weezer will join Billie on stage to promote the tour. Could be Brain Stew or Pollyanna if Weezer is accompanying Billie.

My thoughts were that this was his rescheduled appearance from last year. He was supposed to perform a No Fun Mondays song on June 5, 2020 on the show and got bumped when the George Floyd situation happened and they decided to have a black performer instead in his spot. He was never rescheduled so this is possibly the make up for that along with some Hella Mega promo with FOB and Weezer.

According to my TV screen guide, just Weezer and FOB are performing on this. Billie, Rivers and Pete are doing an interview like they did with the promotion in 2019. No idea why Green Day aren’t performing when it’s their tour but ok

W-what, maybe they have something bigger planned just for green day soon? that’s just weird, they’re basically the main headliners lol, thanks for the update tho cause I’ve been curious about it

I don't get how Green Day fans are so far up their own asses these days that they don't understand that Fall Out Boy and Weezer are two very longstanding, popular bands. It's insane.

If you go by what they said during the promotion, this is Green Day’s tour. It was their desire to play a stadium tour and do it like Monsters of Rock. They pitched it to Crush. Mike named it Hella Mega. They invited Weezer and FOB to join it. (Only after they were hired did Weezer record an album of stadium rock to tour on)

Green Day were the first to announce it.  They headlined Whiskey A GoGo and played a set twice as long as the other bands. This is their tour.  Except now when it comes to promotion you wouldn’t know that. Just because Green Day are being incredibly gracious and humble with their supporting bands doesn’t make it any less their tour.
