Pinhead Gunpowder Discography Reissued by 1-2-3-4 Go! Records

Hi all, waiting for it to pop up on socials, but just had email from them

Although they are very rarely seen in public Pinhead Gunpowder has been a band for 31 years and are currently constituted as Aaron Cometbus (Crimpshrine, Sweet Baby), Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day, The Longshot), Jason White (The Influents, Green Day) and Bill Schneider (Monsula, Dead Sound).

There will be 5 phases spread across the next year with an LP, 7" and two exclusive t-shirts in each phase. Phase 1, due April 30th 2021, is the Jump Salty LP and Trundle & Spring 7"!Pinhead Gunpowder hasn't had official merch of any sort in years and these are truly special oversize prints. Jump Salty has been cut at 45rpm for the first time and it is LOUD. These are definitely the best sounding editions of either record to date.

Each record is pressed on a mail order exclusive color (visible above) only available from our website and each shirt is available separately or as part of the Phase 1 bundle.

Here's the schedule for each phase

Phase 1 (4/30/21): Jump Salty LP, Trundle and Spring 7” plus two shirts with art from each release

Phase 2 (6/11/21): Carry The Banner LP, Fahizah 7” plus two shirts with art from each release and the stand alone “Kick Over The Traces” shirt.

Phase 3 (9/10/21): Goodbye Ellston Avenue LP, At Your Funeral 7” (songs from two splits, split up no more!), plus two shirts with art from each release.

Phase 4 (11/26/21): Shoot The Moon LP, 8 Chords 328 Words 7” plus two shirts with art from each release.

Phase 5 (3/11/22): Compulsive Disclosure LP, West Side Highway 7” plus two shirts with art from each release.

Thanks again for being a subscriber and if you're as excited about this as we are, tell a friend!

I have edited out the pics as it was getting long, hope it’s ok to create new topic but maybe should be merged with @Todd’s

I wanted to order 1 record each for me and a good friend of mine but $60 shipping for 2 12'' and 2 7'' is just too much. That would be $60 x 5. Too bad the shipping is so expensive since the records themselves are very (!) cheap.

This somehow gives me hope for a Money Money 2020 repress aha (especially after Foxboro and Foreverly).

Yea, if I was in the States I'd be more inclined to indulge. Pretty sweet variants though!

Agreed and then possible additional customs charges when it arrives :(

@jengd If you have pics of the shirts, I'd love to see them. PG is the only band of Billie's that I don't have a shirt for yet (well, still waiting on the arrival of the Network shirt 🙄).

How fucking great would it be if they ended this series with a surprise new 7" or something, I would love some new phgp! I ordered jump salty even though I already have the recess records version.

I'm just sitting here, waiting for the CD release 🙃

Don’t hold your breath. The original Lookout/Adeline CDs are not hard to find, and the Recess CDs are not hard to find either. 1234 Go isn’t going to spend money pressing CDs because they won’t be able to move them. These reissues don’t appear to be remixed or remastered, so there would be nothing different about the CDs if 1234 Go did make them. If I were you, I would go on Discogs and buy the Recess CDs (they have more artwork than the Lookout CDs, and two of the albums have bonus tracks not on the original releases)

Yeah I'd love to pre-order these but there's just no way I can justify the shipping and customs charges at the moment

I was just saying how difficult it is to get my hands on pinhead gunpowder music, this is amazing and I love the colors so far!

Thanks, I'll look into it. 👍
