Did they start playing before 9? Because i turned to cbs right at 9:02 and saw them play Basket Case then i left the channel on for a few more mins and they haven't come back on or played any other songs?

On TV it started on time and the whole thing was about 5-6 minutes

Are Green Day promoting social distance ?

where were Jason Freese and Kevin ?

both of them are definitely on stage for 2 of those 3  songs at concerts

It’s nice to see the boys together again, though did miss Kevin.

I liked their outfits, but whoever lied to Billie and told him his hair looked good needs their ass whooped.

Billie’s singing was abnormally good. If I didn’t know any I’d think it was autotuned. Sounded super polished and clean and maybe even like they put a little reverb on it.

It was great to properly see and hear from them. It had been too long, and brought me some much-needed joy.

I just missed seeing it “live,” but the performance seemed really strong. “Still Breathing” caught me by surprise, but it was perfectly appropriate.

This was great! A tight performance and I loved the guitar sound, I feel like the turned the distortion up a little bit compared to performances from last year. This really makes me miss playing in a band

But they aren’t essential to those songs. It’s not like Billie wasn’t playing his guitar.

@jetsrule128

I know just joking. Awesome to see 4 of them

again

It’s possible for covid reasons they just stuck to the bare minimum number of players, so just a four piece. They definitely mixed and tweaked that audio it sounded great, and Billie changed his guitar halfway through so several takes here and edited together but that’s okay, they produced a really polished video

I think they definitely looked and sounded the best they have in a while. I'm not a huge fan of Still Breathing but i think it sounded great.

I think someone definitely went in there to clean up the vocals. It was almost too perfect, I haven't heard them that on key in a recording since, well, probably Awesome as Fuck.

I also miss Kevin.

AHHHH what a performance! It was great! Billie sounded so good! Really didn't expect Still Breathing but it was good to hear again. Of course I hated all the football in between but a really tight performance. Absolutely loved it.

But I also missed Kevin.

Great performance. Billie's voice really caught my ear. He sang Still Breathing better than he ever did during RevRad performances.

Sounds like I'm in the minority but I thought it was a pretty forgettable performance. Holiday's been done way better and Still Breathing is one of their weaker songs.

If it wasn’t for a global pandemic, I’m sure more people would agree with you. There would be more focus on how NFL B-Roll was playing over the performance, or how it was a medley. That being said; to see Green Day doing what they do best, or hell just to see a new performance with the energy of a concert and not a depressing as hell at-home performance is fantastic.

Yeah fair call. Hopefully a warm up for better things to come.

Yeah, I wasn't getting too hyped about this performance because I was like, eh, why are they so desperate to get into sports recently (the kinda aborted NHL partnership last year) because idgaf about sports, but watching tonight just felt so good, like maybe one day we'll actually be able to see them again 💓

Billie aged a little bit in the pandemic (still looks good, I think part of it is the hairstyle), but Christ, Mike looks exactly like he did in the 21CB era. Insane.
