I'm sure you mean Irving Plaza 2012; Irving Plaza 1994 and 2004 weren't nearly as awesome. Although I don't think the band would ever release a full video of the 2012 show, they'd have to edit out Billie puking on stage :S

They’ve put that on their YouTube and it’s still there.

(Why they chose to publish that instead of literally anything else that didn’t make the cut is a question that haunts me to this day.)

Was it in one of the pro-shot clips? I thought it was one of the cellphone videos

So did I, but I recently watched it again and had the misfortune of seeing it - skip to American Idiot if you dare :P

Ok, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.... but that is probably due to years of desensitization from being both a mom and an elementary school teacher... (no one projectile vomits like little kids). 🤮 🤣

you can hardly see it in that, unless I'm missing something. It almost feels like they tried to edit around the incident or whatever

EDIT: just compared with cell phone footage of AI from that show, and there isn't a big chunk of billie puking cut out of the break like I had imagined, so no clue. I'd hardly consider it puking. He's clearly drunk tho, but that's sadly par for the era

Oh I'm sorry, you found this lost MTV footage? :P No, I think I was specifically addressing the kid with the fake demo posts. Obviously there are people out there that have real stuff like Jeremy, cool stuff like this pops up every few years.

i' m 21 not a kid XD and again, i didn't make those. but mark my words Todd, one day you will have to eat that record!!!!!!

So I guess the OP  is St Jimmy's brother Jeremy! think about it........

I loved every minute of the Insomniac Anniversary Video they made but couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that all the footage came from ONE show 😂 Oh Green Day

I have a feeling we aren’t going to get any more incredible pro stuff/never-before-seen amateur footage from GD till a movie is made of them. The RNRHOF induction might have come too early still in their career for people to come forward & offer videos or for GD to want to pay the money.

Nah. It's not like GD themselves is the only source of that. There's plenty of fascinating unheard stuff in the hands of private collectors right this second, and in random people's attics, and there's never been a single year without a few crazy drops.

I really want to see the full pro-shot Montreux Jazz Festival show. They only released Stay The Night, but I know they recorded the whole thing. I fucking hate when they do that. It's like "Hey, here's an awesome quality video of one single song. We're not going to show you the rest because fuck you. We'd rather let it sit and rot in a file than release it to fans who will truly love it, because we are assholes."

Same goes for GMA 2009. Great videos of a handful of songs, but the rest can only be found in 240p because the HD files weren't released.

I would jump for joy if I could get my hands on either of those full shows.

A professional camera rig doesn't work like your DSLR. You don't just stick the SD card into your computer and drag the file onto Youtube and hit publish. The level of quality you see from pro shot footage is the work of a professional's post-processing and editing. The audio is also mixed, mastered, and depending on the type of release overdubbed. Expecting them to pay for people to do that kind of thing for entire performances that are most likely, on the whole, average at best is unrealistic and assuming they don't do it because of some kind of antagonistic reason is dumb. Not to mention that 99% of fans don't give a shit about random live performances to begin with; you are in the minority. And of the 1% that do - not everyone shares your personal pet shows.

tl;dr the fact that a band isn't paying for an expensive service to produce content that appeals very specifically to you is not an act of aggression

Oh man. The problem with being a fan sometimes is that you’re never satisfied 😄 Especially with this band

Still it’s very interesting to see how everyone’s got personal Wish-list.

You said what I was just thinking.  If you think how quickly we had The Longshot album and demos, then FOA, then NFM and then The Network that’s a huge amount and still we want more!  No wonder fans can feel like a curse ☺️

I wonder when Green Day finishes, will any demos/unreleased songs/footages be released? That would be so cool.

This is going to sound awful, but you know, if something happened, both Warner and Joey will want to make money,  so I’d expect releases.

Makes a lot of sense.

I have seen this before. I would hardly call that "puking"; he basically spits on the stage and someone wipes it up. The scene lasts about a second; blink and you'll miss it. Have y'all seen some of the things on YouTube? This is the last thing they need to worry about censoring LOL.

Except if you are a Pearl Jam fan...

Irving Plaza 2012 was the most 90s show of Green Day in the "new era" (post-AI)

Costa Rica's one was even more

I mean, besides the incredible setlist, about the energy and the way they was crazy on stage... especially BJ.

Costa Rica setlist was amazing too, but It's a shame that we don't have so much images/videos of that day to see.

Just reread the setlist - wow, that's really a dream show. This reaffirms that 2010 might have been their peak for touring (in regards of getting a mix of new and old songs post 2000s).

Looping back to what I said about why we have so much proshot footage of Nirvana vs. Green Day... this is (sadly) probably correct.

Once one of the guys inevitably passes, they'll totally start cashing in by scraping the barrel for archival shit just like they did with Nirvana...

Come on man, there are bands that release soundboard recordings of every show. No one says that everything has to come out in video form or that it has to be a big investment to get more quality live material out.

Looping back to the Fugazi Live Series tho, I know Ian MacKaye has talked about how they sunk so much money into mixing/digitizing/cataloging all those years of Fugazi shows, but they also don't really care about breaking even because 1) they probably never will and 2) that's just how Dischord Records is.

Awesome as fuck It must have been a double álbum with all the songs performed on that tour, all over the world

Well we have Pinole, Prauge, Jaded, Woodstock, and at least a few other old proshots too, right? It feels to me like there was plenty of documentation, but the band just didn't want to release it for whatever reason. I ((personally)) think @Gwen Stacy's point about looking forward is the correct answer, but who knows.

I generally just think they weren't particularly happy with their performances. I can understand not wanting to mass produce something that you didn't enjoy or you feel you played badly. I know they've gone on record saying they thought their woodstock performance was bad.
