Not hating, I was just way more hyped up when the first record came out as compared to now with all the silly social media shit that is not entertaining at all. Very underwhelmed with the EP as well. Not saying I'm not looking forward to the record but it just seems not as fun to me as the first go 'round. The 25 seconds of Tarantula is the only thing I've heard that has my hopes up as it sounds like it would have fit in nicely on MM2020. I also think the "we told ya so" thing is a little weak as well as calling it part 2. I'll probably get flamed for this as well, I much prefer the artwork of the first record to the new record. I was around back then, I remember Transistors Gone Wild getting released online before the cd came out (I think it was as a flash video on a website or something) and all the debate about whether it was Billie Joe’s voice or not, was he guesting on the song, was it Green Day, who was singing the other part haha. Then the articles about Green Day denying it, the press conference, etc. I have to say I think it’s just as good this time around, as soon as I heard that Tarantula preview I was so pumped, it just sounded like classic Network, and the EP has not disappointed at all ... I’ve had it on repeat for days! All we are missing is Doctor Svengali.

Popular Post Little Boy Named Booze
The guy that did the teaser animation posted them on reddit (Side A and B). He said it was part 1/4 and 2/4. So it's official we're having Side C and D. And he told me it's getting better. 6
jengd
“Nor do I know their true identity” 😂😂 I love how everyone is running with this 👏👏 clearly lots of people getting into the fun side 2
Bakabanas
Wow, so it might include FOAM unreleased tracks and more good stuff (because it seems that there will be 4 parts, and song titles like The Art of The Deal With The Devil, which was from FOAM sessions, and like Carolina's Ultimate Netflix Tweet, which is something like That Dude would write). This is unfolding better than expected.
pacejunkie punk
I think what excites me so much about this release is that unlike with FOAM where they seemed to just tantalizingly skim the surface of an idea, this album goes deep in exploring a concept/style. They put the time in for this one.
Freezing Melons
Still another 2 whole days until this release and I'm fining it so hard to focus on work. Craving some new music ahhh. We might have it in less than 24 hours, because it might be uploaded into Youtube, like the EP, because it is already Friday somewhere. 4 minutes ago, Freezing Melons said: Still another 2 whole days until this release and I'm fining it so hard to focus on work. Popular Post Annie, get your gun
Why some people is still talking about FATHER OF ALL MOTHERFUCKERS on this thread and comparing it to everything GD does and did?? It's getting old and boring, perhaps you can talk about how much you hate it in its respective thread. THE NETWORK is the topic here and yes, we do like it because it's Green Day, duh. And if they weren't, there will be people who'll still like them because we're all different with different tastes. I'm not a big fan of their first record and I like this one a lot more so far, so what? We should be enjoying the music instead of calling shit everything we don't like. But that's just me, I personally don't talk over and over about something I'm not into. @Squashie @A Worry Rock and @MarriedtoMikeDirnt thank you for answering my tracklist question. More than 20 songs it's fucking crazy and I love it

I think they may have had a few songs up their sleeve, but I believe that this didn't become a serious full blown project until the boys knew they'd be in lockdown for a good chunk of the year. I think you forget how workaholic this band can be. They did 4 albums on a year and a half. The trilogy had a ton of other unreleased songs that easily can make another record. And after revrad you had another buch more. After all, the same guys had the idea of making a rock opera with a character named Jimmy on 1993.

Freezing Melons
I think I'm more excited for Side C than Side B. Pop Punker sounds cool, and I really want to hear how they reworked Kill The DJ for Jerry Falwells Pool Party (you can even hear the same bass lick at the end). Respirator and Squatter really do nothing for me from Side B...like even for kitchy tunes, they really don't offer much. We'll see if the full songs change that at all. Hermione
So are there clips of every single song? Listening to that seems like a horrible idea, like deliberately spoiling a movie by reading a synopsis before watching it. It's only two days until we can listen to the whole thing.
