I think I have the questionable parts:

I'm definitely hearing cheerios.

I'm pretty sure that even when we get the real lyrics (IF we get the real lyrics),  it's still not going to make any sense.  

Hopefully with all of us taking stabs at it, we'll piece it together.

Pissing in cereal is a common enough phrase and some people use cheerios to help potty train boys as well.  

With Billie taking up so many new languages, it's made it so much harder to figure these out.   Did I say Billie?   Oh well, guess I did.

I've got it!    Fink was at a greyhound race and the dogs all had really stupid, disgusting names.     Carolina's Ultimate Tweet is in the lead and leaving all the other dogs in the dust.   Another one bites the dust.   hey hey! 

He looks around at all the coughing, sneezing people and sees Whatshername in the crowd.  She's sitting between Greg Allman and Steven Tyler and looking very friendly with them.    

He's getting pissed, Fink's a worthless pessimist - and then it gets worse.   Macaulay Culkin and Frank Storm join Whatshername and they're all just having a blast.    Fink sits on the boulevard of broken dreams.  

But, he remembers his 8 bucks (which he made selling 4 joints in high school) he put on C.U....I mean Carolina's Ultimate Netflix Tweet.    And she's winning.  

Whatshername may have went home with Frank Storm, who Fink suspect is Tunny all grown up and not living like a rock star anymore.     

But Fink.   Fink is a winner.

Carolina is not the runner up or the first one to lose the race.      She's better than horse shoes and hand grenades! 

Fink takes his winnings and does some existential drugs.

Recycling in music can be boring but in this case I don't think it is. For me it makes the song more interesting because 1) it's funny that it's The Network "ripping off" Green Day's lyrics and 2) it's not exactly the same lyrics, it's a more extreme twist on them so it feels like an update rather than a rehash.

And everything else about the song is super new and innovative and that more than makes up for any problem with the lyrics anyway. It has to be the funkiest song they've done, a funky beat, harmonica and almost rapping vocals. The music/beat sounds like it's from an early 90s rap song lol, it's got west coast g-funk vibes. Really stands out imo.

‘Star fucking idiots’ is a good suggestion. Hope that’s right, I like it. I was thinking it was either stop or start but star is better.

I took the recycled lyrics in JFPP as them poking fun at themselves. The Network hate Green Day, so what better way to stick it to them than to rip off one of their songs? And one of their most divisive songs at that. It's funny! And considering that the band seemed to just want to let off some steam with this album, it's just a fun way to go about the song.

I think it might become hard to enjoy music if you take this approach strictly.  Reusing melodies (your own or someone else’s) has been a part of music throughout its history and there are lots of songs that have the same harmony/similar melodies etc.

I love Fink’s performances in the videos I wonder if the mask is a liberating feeling helping him to give a more over the top performance. Billie still uses a stage character somewhat to hide behind but this is like two layers of protection 🥸🥸
