My biggest complaint is that a lot of the songs are too short and just when I get into them, they're over (Prophecy, Heard Immunity, etc). I had high expectations for Heard Immunity and Art of the Deal and both of those were a little underwhelming for me which is a bummer. Other observations: - Theory of Reality: Love this song, but should I be concerned that my home state of Ohio is going to be nuked? The Network are very good at predicting the future... - Fentanyl: One of my favorites and didn't know they could write a song like this one - Respirator: Cracks me up! One of my faves - Cancer is the New Black: Sounds very much like a mix of Bouncing Off the Wall/Reto/Too Dumb To Die and Fever Blister in my opinion - Popper Punk: For reasons I can't explain...I actually really like this song 😂 - Pool Party: What a wonderful mess of a song. Would love to know what made them revisit Kill The DJ, but I love the jam/Gorillaz vibe on this one I would have been fine never hearing Pizzagate, Squatter, Hey Elon and Amnesia Vagabond. FOAM is better than this in my opinion, but I do love how they put things out like this. Popular Post Slave To The Network Posted December 6, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted December 6, 2020 For anyone wondering about the story behind Popper Punk like I was, here is a brief history for my fellow non-drug users: In the 60's amyl nitrite, classically mispronounced by Billie Fink as amyl nitrATE, was primarily used as a vasodilator to treat heart conditions. However, it quickly became a recreational drug (as many prescription drugs are today). It came in tiny bottles that were cracked or "popped" and the vapor inside would be inhaled to create a brief high. Poppers, as they became known in the community, were often used in conjunction with other drugs such as cocaine to lessen the unpleasant effects of a "comedown". They were also used to enhance sex because it relaxes involuntary smooth muscle (like the asshole). Today they are still used recreationally and are legal in some countries such as Australia.
