CUNT still reminds me of Modern Love. 52 minutes ago, Hermione said: This should be the music video for Popper Punk Still haven't heard the song yet, but that's where my mind went when I heard the title too. Beerjeezus
Just now, navouxodonosoras said: "Art of The Deal with Devil" has guitar elements from "Take the Money and Crawl" intro (around 2.20). And I am lazy to search it right now, but because of a Rolling Stone interview for FOAM release, we thought that both titles were refering to the same song. We thought that the band just changed the name of -an unheard at the time- song from "Art of the Deal with the Devil" to "Take my Money and Crawl". I don't know why there is the common guitar part, and what 's the story behind the songwriting of these songs. They seem to write bits that often switch places between songs. There's a part of an unreleased Trilogy song (Gabriella?) that was used in Amanda. In can be that they used a part of Art of the deal in Take the money, knowing they weren't going to release AOTD on FOAM.

Popular Post kripack
JFPP is just unreal! I love that sound! This is Green Day truly experimenting with sound. Synths, sax, funky guitar - i love it. I’d love them to go deeper with this. The sound is awesome. I think a better song with some real vocals would be amazing with this sound. Green Day need to stop trying to play it safe and make some really bold steps with their next album. I am now absolutely sure that they can.

Why did they hold back so much?

If (not) Tre wrote this, then I’d like to know where this shit’s been hiding. I like this song. Pretty sure that this is VG/Mike, not Snoo? Red
I just finished listening to the whole thing. Overall I like it, the first half is very strong, then it dies down a bit but ends pretty strong too. I love Art Of The Deal With The Devil and how it's basically the intro to Take The Money and Crawl but turned into a full song. That Kill the DJ song was quite unexpected (I hadn't listened to the previews) but it's pretty damn good too. I think the first album had a certain charm to it because it was a brand new thing for the boys, but this record is very professional sounding and is an absolute treat to listen to with good headphones. The production quality here is incredible, but it does lose some of that charm I think.

petros
I must find the posts in the foam anticipation thread (before we got any info) when I was saying I want them to experiment and use electronic elements to their music and that them during rock n roll and straight up punk rock has become super boring. I got sooo much shit back then. I really enjoyed this on first listen. Kinda feel that it doesn't have that many Mike songs though? And Mike is supposed to be the front-man here. Maybe it's just my impression and I'm wrong. It's a lot of information to process now. Some songs in the first half of the album felt like fillers but still I feel I wanna go back and re-listen. At certain points it felt more like Green Day experimenting than a Network project, if that makes any sense. But generally I really liked it on first listen. Popular Post jengd
O m f g what a trip - I caved, couldn’t hold out, pathetic! I love it, it’s weird, wacky, risky, risqué, experimental and hilarious. I thought there may be too many Snoo and Van Gough songs but those boys did a great job, I love them. I’m hearing quite a lot of mixed vocals I think, getting a bit of Hammer Of The Gods vibe from Tarantula of all things! Only had first listen and so much to process but I loved Theory Of Reality, Digital Black, Tarantula, Degenerate, Popper Punk, Jerry Falwell (possibly more than KTDJ) , so much great stuff. Is it wrong I still want Sparky Renegade, it would have fitted so well 😂😂 6
