But definitely hear hate/'ate in the first verse

Montclare
I still hear high, not hate. And since fentanyl is a drug, high makes sense to me.

petros
I've pretty much hated almost every album Billie Joe has singed as a whole after 21stCB and I love this EP. It's just too good. Fentanyl is the most interesting obviously but I like all the tracks. Can't wait for the whole album.
DeJennsitized
LOVE this EP. I think all the songs are great. Fentanyl perhaps the most forgettable for me, but I still like it. Flat Earth cracks me up and IIAN still slaps. The bass in Trans AM is an earworm also. I applaud this effort. The Network always were my favourite side project because because they're so batshit and I find the slapstick beef with Green Day hysterical. They can turn it up a notch now with the social media too
Emilie
Just got to listen and damn! Love it. I think flat earth is my favourite but Ivankkka is just too good as well
disappearing_boy_39
The EP is great. I love the synth on all the songs, especially Trans AM and Ivankkka. Flat Earth is hilarious (and such a unique topic to write about)! And Fentanyl sounds very 80s—in fact, it kind of reminds me of "I Melt With You" by Modern English. Looking forward to the full album in December!

Karl Karlson
Wow, I must be one of few that are not impressed by "Fentanyl"... Compared to MM2020 it's a let down, but the other songs I like. Especially IvanKKKa. Flat Earth is alright, Trans AM is quite good. Can't wait to hear the full album (and buy merch :D)

I love Ivankkka, really, but it feels very money money, trans AM is ok and flat earth is funny and catchy as hell. I've got high expectations for the album too right now
Popular Post pacejunkie punk
What I love about Fentanyl is that unlike the rest of the Network output which is clearly parody of the genre and done for laughs, that song is a loving and sincere dedication to 80’s music done really well.

Popular Post Montclare
For both this ep and MM2020, Billie's songs are largely my favorite. We don't quite know the writing process/who writes what, but based solely off of the lead vocals, Tre's songs are the more jokey songs, whereas comparing Billie's to Mike's, Billie's songs feel more like complete songs, whereas Mike's feel thinner. Like if you removed the 80's element from Billie's songs, there's still a full song hiding underneath, whereas if you started removing elements from Mike's, the song would fall apart; his sound written solely to sound like 80's songs. Like if you removed the synths from Ivankkka, you still have a Ramones' song underneath. I feel like there's a complexity in Billie's Network songs that isn't in Mike or Tre's. 5 1

Completely agree, they are not daft, there’s a reason Billie is the main songwriter - dare I say, and singer too!

Dreamcar is just a loveletter to the 80s, but my issue with it is that it's very...familiar sounding, if that makes sense. It doesn't feel like Dreamcar's take on 80s new wave. It's a fun album, but it does sound a lot like what I've already heard. I was listening to the EP this morning and thinking how the jokey songs just don't hit me like Billie's songs. They're fun, but they don't hold up as well. And for me, they're very much mood songs, whereas Ivankkka and Fentanyl I could listen to all day. 3
Mato
Fentanyl could easily be on Vice City soundtrack. If GTA VI will be placed in Vice City, I hope they include it.
That Dude
Flat Earty teaser video out! I watched it with no sound, but it looks like it filmed at the same time as Ivanka. Maybe not, it's hard to tell because the band are like cartoon characters or are gross and never change clothes. Do they multiple of the same outfits, wash the same one over and over or just stink? We must know. Anyone think they will have more mainstream attention this time?
