I think it's very exciting that there is no clear favorite/least favorite amongst the group from this EP. good shit.

So who else here can’t help but count off on their fingers when the song kicks in?

Totally, and someone pointed out when Fink puts the tape over Van Gough’s mouth, when he turns away he positively flounces and his hair flounces too, it’s fab, makes me chuckle every time.

I know heroin is not a brand name I was asking if Fentanyl was a brand name like Xanax or something it’s not obvious from the name or anything. Most pharma drugs are branded now and the names trademarked. Heroin is a street drug.

dude i said fentynal isnt a bramd name. itd be like calling heroin a brand name read my post. fentynal is a street drug as well.

I get it you don’t have to be a dick about it. @Beerjeezus already answered my question but the difference was she did it nicely

I get that you want us all too see that you’re RIGHT, and you technically are, but not completely :P It has nothing to do with it being a street drug or not. Each chemical can me named in different ways. There’s the structural formula - N-phenyl-N-[1-(2-phenylethyl)piperidin-4-yl]propanamide (not a good name for a song) and the systematic name, which is fentanyl. Occasionally, the systematic name can be the same as the trade name, in fact, it was this way with heroin. The trademark belonged to a farmaceutical company before the drug was banned.

after an opportunity for proper listening at maximum volumes... (still gotta do the research using the lushie filter, i.e.-booze)

Van Gough on this vaporwave tip is doing it for me.

and the chorus to flat earth has taken up residence in my head and is claiming squatter's rights.

fentanyl's aight.

Did Fink really take one of Z's red stripes and use it like this?   So disrespectful!   Notice they don't really show Z after this.

Good thing Z has so many, at least 14.   Even so, Fink really crossed a line here.

Thanks for this. On that note, I believed that fentanyl was the generic name (derived as you said from the chemical formula), not a trademarked brand name.

So I finally just listened to this a few times and I really like it. Even though I don't love new wave, these songs are just so deep and what we need right now. I can't get over "Flat Earth." 🤣

My addition on the Fentanyl lyrics:

How sweet it is to get hate from you
How sweet it is to get hate from you

Trust no one they’re the enemy
Trust no one they’re the enemy
Trust no one we're the enemy
Torch your lies down the pressure...

Pressure... pressure... pressure

How sweet it is to get lies from you
How sweet it is to get lies from you

In my eyes you're the enemy
In my eyes you're the enemy
In my eyes you're the enemy
Torch your lies down the pressure...

Pressure... pressure... pressure

 i hear:

How sweet it is to get like from you
How sweet it is to get like from you
Trust no one they’re the enemy
Trust no one they’re the enemy
Trust no one they're the enemy
Torch your lies down the pressure...

Pressure... pressure... pressure

How sweet it is to get lies from you
How sweet it is to get lies from you
in my eyes you're the ennemy
in my eyes you're the ennemy
in my eyes you're the ennemy
Torch your lies down the pressure...

Pressure... pressure...  pressure

I'm pretty sure the song reffers  to the social medias so the likes and the lies suits better, it puts pressure and anxiety (it makes sense with the title anxiety witch was leaked)

I think he's definitely saying hate not like or lies, Fink just sometimes drops his h's ('ate) the same way Billie does :sherlock:

I'm sure for the last part it's definitively lies, if you listen carefully there's no doubt about it , for first part at first I heard  hate too ... then I've listened high volume and clearly hear like instead of hate, and now every time I listen I still hear like 😅 but you could be right who knows hard to say
