But after hearing it I‘m even more convinced that this song and TUT are Green Day songs. They are so completely different to The Network in my opinion 🤔 Green Work Tub Queens to release new music. That's it guys. I gotta write some fake track lists and not share them with anyone.
Popular Post Beerjeezus
The redditor posted their pitch shifted and more compressed versions and if this TUT doesn’t sound like Green Day, then neither does American Idiot. https://sndup.net/54tv/Are+You+Listening+1%+pitch+shifted.mp3 https://sndup.net/2hzh/The+Ultimate+Test+1%+pitch+shifted.mp3 7 1

Popular Post Tubbie Head
I think there should be a separate thread for these leaks because this ain't The Network. This is definitely Green Day.

If they mix the pad (s) better (more audible) to make it more modern, could be very promising if it's legit It really seems Billie.
jengd
I’m not sure why it’s considered impossible for the Network to sound like GD and vice versa, after all GD sounded fairly at bus like in some of the astrology. Not that there’s any reason they should of course 😆

Punk and new wave vs Pop Punk with some little synth elements
Tubbie Head
Tbh what's really throwing me off is the sound difference from the Network when it's being leaked as the Network. Do you think they'll actually networkify the songs and release em on this album?

It's a mistery as for now 😅
Popular Post Red
Okay so I've listened to the pitched up version, and in conclusion there is no way this isn't Green Day. To all y'all naysayers and non believers, doesn't anyone at all find it ironic that the leaked song in question is called "The Ultimate Test". You don't think that this could be Green Day testing us to see: 1. If fans enjoy this direction 2. Who can actually tell it's them? 8

The sound was close but not quite there. The Ultimate Test has a similar vibe as Bang Bang, but the synth-y elements convince me it must have been recorded at more recent sessions (Tré has mentioned trying pads for the first time during the FOAM jams). Are You Listening isn’t that weird once you remember Junkies On A High. These could be the unused FOAM songs. That would explain everything. Like the story of how enemies became best friends 🤔 That would be amazing! What if the lyrics of TUT are about the rift between GD and the Network, and about them reuniting or becoming friends again. Haha. On a separate note, if you listen to those pitched up versions of the two songs and you still don't believe that is Billie, I really don't know what else to say to you.

If TUT was the opener to FOAM and Oh Yeah was removed entirely, I would have moved the score for the album from 6 to 7 or possibly even an 8 (if they gave it a proper album cover). What were they thinking not putting this on FOAM? I guess they realised it was too good to be a joke album song.

Maybe they spare it because it's different from FOAM stuff, it's finally them fitting 100percent with the music. Are you listening doesn't thrill me that much, it's quite good but it seems very demo-ish still and whilst it has a very good pre chorus the chorus itself is very weak Btw if they are serious about, maybe , using it, with some production could get surely better

It’s not really a short, retro rocknroll song, but I agree that it’s way too good to remain in obscurity.

navouxodonosoras
Yes. Green day has put out this song to test your opinion on their material... And they called the song "The Ultimate Test" for meta reasons... Sorry guys, are you really serious? I think that you will be extremely disappointed sooner or later if you are so much commited on your opinions. You stretch very very far this one...
