The Network is back!

Little Boy Named Booze

Recommended Posts

Not sure where else I'd post this, but how much do we know about the shows the network played? Aside from disease is punishment- are there any recordings/pics/etc of the four that happened?

And it looks to me like disease is punishment was filmed over the course of two shows due to some spots where things seems to jump back and forth shot to shot, but idk

EDIT: Just found the boot of the one show from 2005 in the downloads section. Listening to it now and they're having a rough time with some of these songs lmao. Eager for anything else that might be out there tho

They've all got tiny dicks; they're men. Not a single one is packing.

Okay now. Can we all agree that shit is fake as fuck?

Sounds legit to me. Although, it sounds like it's a demo (like TUT).

Yeah this one sounds fake

What I can't understand is why people that are talented at making music keep faking other bands shit instead of just releasing good music

It's clearly the same voice as TUT. But that song's a better attempt at sounding like Green Day.

Agreed. I guess it's for recognition of some sort but it's not a good look.

I think Mike (or someone close to the band) said Billies demos are really high quality usually, studio quality. He has a home studio, look at the the quality he gets from home recording the covers for “no fun Mondays”.

But this is intentionally low quality. It's a new wave band. The only reason I think it's demo is cause the vocals are buried under the instruments.

The vocals are buried because it’s the hardest thing to fake/copy.

Ah, good point. But then that means that whoever made this is not only really convincing, they've done a lot of research. And they're insanely dedicated to tricking us.

Seems like too much effort for a group of tricksters.

They've likely just already got experience recording and mixing music and knew to keep the vocals low.

I could fairly easily replicate the network's sound in a fake song honestly, I'm a studio engineer and do a lot of recording and production. The difficulty would of course be vocals, I reckon I could do the same thing however and intentionally mix it badly to make it less obvious that I'm not Billie (or if I was too attempt it I'd likely be impersonating Mike, since he pretty much sings with a British accent)

Billie has in the past mixed his demos such that his vocals are barely audible or otherwise incomprehensible - there was an interview where he said he did all of the demos for a certain album (I think it was 21st Century Breakdown) this way so as not to immediately reveal the lyrics to Mike and Tré. Knowing this fact can make it difficult to accurately judge whether a "leak" or demo may be authentic or not.

For what it's worth, had I listened to Ivankkka Is A Nazi without having seen the accompanying video, I probably wouldn't have said it was Billie Fink singing. Just some food for thought.
