Take it from an youngin, FOAMF is most popular with the kids. The younger generations love it. It's the Gen X, and old millenials that don't like it.

(And me, but I'm and old soul).

can confirm, I have a little brother (he's 16) that actually really liked most of the songs on FOAM

It only dawned on me during the second watch that that's Billie's Fink's actual hair and not a wig lol

Yes and I fucking love it but unfortunately judging by the Swing Left appearance, I think (Billie’s) trimmed it a bit since then

I don’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade and I haven’t been following all the closely but just wondering if this newest video is 100% legit? Cause I know this isn’t the oldest network account. I mean is this actually new footage? Where you can tell it’s people actually from green day? Just would like to know if it’s safe to watch

Yeah, that makes sense — unless there's a Kyle in the family that we're unaware of? :P

Kyle Rittenhouse maybe?

Machine Gun Kelly it's the only one who's very famous amid these and it's because he's mainly a rapper or at least was mainly known for this. I saw him live and he's a very great artist :)

Tho i think most of the success of his new record was the presence of Megan Fox on the video. That's really good commercial

If being called a boomer is an insult to you, it must mean that you're middle-aged or older. So, yeah, practically a boomer.

You can see Jonathan Daniel’s profile pic at the bottom of Billie’s screenshots by where it says add a comment. I wonder how much of this is Green Day and how much is crush posting for them?

Megan Fox isn’t the reason his album went to number 1. She’s the reason bloody valentine got so many views. I think Travis Barker however is a big reason it went to number 1

Yes sorry I forgot about Travis presence, my bad. But she draw a lot of attention on the single, then on the album. I can assure you, a lot of people that never listened to him before came to me and told me He's the one with Megan Fox on the video.

Holy shit, you're The Grouch. That song describes you.

And to all the other people talking about how kids don't know who Green Day is: what the hell kinda kids you talking to? How old are they? Where do you live?

Here in my neck of Texas, most people can a least sing a line from Good Riddance or Brian Stew. (Maybe because of tiktok, but that's besides the point).

FOAM is not as experimental as they wanted to sell it. The marketing strategy was older Rockstars playing the role of old rockstars against the system.

I think they accepted it as a last album before a new contract and find some good placements for the songs on commercials and stuff like that.

Btw foam didn't sell that much and wasn't that good on streaming

It screamed “boomer” and that’s why it didn’t do well. Surprisingly, young people don’t give a shit about old rockstars tiredly pretending a rebellious party. It would be a lot better to just do their thing and incorporate some currently popular elements (which Ivankkka is a lot closer to than FOAM is).

Is it, though? I mean, among Green Day fans yes, but in general? It didn’t do very well on streaming and most sales were from preorders (which points to fans contributing to sales before it came out, then it fell down the charts quickly)... we didn’t even get many new members on here... does it have a cult following of tweens that we ancient 20somethings don’t know about? I genuinely wouldn’t know - I don’t even have tiktok or actively use IG
