lol why are you guys still trying to figure out if its real? This was their whole thing in 2003, denying any involvement in it, though I think this time around they are being super obvious compared to back then. I showed Ultimate Test to my brother yesterday who is not as big as fan as I am to the band and he told me thats 100% finks/bja’s voice, if that means anything. Not trying be an ass or nothing but they are literally feeding it to us now.

Yeah we know it’s real. I think the confusion comes from there being a difference between saying “that’s fake” and “we’re not the network”.  But I still think it’s all part of the sham.

They're not just re-posting old stuff, this is actually new and I'm excited as well. I hope they're not just re-releasing the original album (again) but release something new :D

I swear to God, if this some elaborate plot involving panicland, I will laugh and cry at the same time.

Regardless of which songs are real or not can I say the fact that they're actually revisiting this project 17 years later, in the year 2020 as prophesied, is so epic and amazing . I can hardly believe it. Only Green Day!

i wonder if this whole "the network" stuff happens just because of the pandemic, maybe they didnt plan do bring up "the network", but covid changed plans

The vocals on Ultimate Test sound exactly like Paniclands vocals from the MagnumOpus tracks to me. Wouldn't be surprised if GD secretly liked what they did with those tracks and hit them up to work on this song (or more...?). The under-the-radar vibe and weird promotion for this seems very much in line with how the MagnumOpus buildup went and definitely is aimed at the superfans like us. Could be wrong, who knows. Definitely excited for these tunes though, they sound sick!

Could be! They're always so sneaky that I guess we'll never know.

Yeah, maybe Green Day and Panicland planned this together and Panicland is now The Network lol. Imagine if we found that out, now that we are this far into this.

Billie Joe and Norah need to do another album.

If the formula stays the same (it won't) then...

After The Network comes the greatest album of all time.

Four years later, a Tubbies album.

Then comes a similar kind of album that tries to push the idea further.

Then...a musical based of the greatest album.

Then a New Trilogy.

Then a new Billie/Norah album.

Then a new Rev Rad style album

And then a new FOAM album.

I'm going to need them to start with a 39 Smooth type album and go from there though because I just confused myself.  Green Day release a lot of music, I didn't list everything because it is too much.

the original upload of Ultimate Test said they recorded it in february. Between that and the 10/20/20 thing at the end, I'd bet (if the uploader can be trusted and there was one) the original plan  was something like: record in early 2020 go do hella mega summer 2020, network fall 2020

just spitballin here tho. god I missed gettin baked and speculating on gdc about nonsense

True if that timeline and the note is correct they did plan something back then.

So it's pretty much confirmed that The Prophecy IS The Network but we're still unsure of The Ultimate Test?

I think it's more likely than not at this point that The Ultimate Test is real. Billie posted that on his story before he posted The Prophecy.

Also, something I'm just now thinking about- it'd be one hell of a fluke of luck for the person faking The Ultimate Test (assuming it's fake for conversation) to not only get a Network comeback correct, but also the late october announce thing correct. I think I'm convinced it's real

Do you guys remember around the time we thought FOAMF was being recorded and they had all the synths out and the band was messing around for a while? Could it be that those sessions are the upcoming Network album?

Just based on what we heard from FOAMF once it was released those sessions and the album don't seem to be related. However, there were the 7 songs we hadn't heard yet that "didn't fit" the album. So are these the other 7 songs and the album in 2020 Billie hinted about?

Panicland did release a new song today and while the style is similar, I do not think they're behind this haha.

So I put the code from The Network's site into a HTML viewer online and found the links to their social media accounts.

There are also other things such as references to an online store.

Smart cookie. I bet the store will be for the MM2020 vinyl reissue 1234go hinted at, if not new stuff as well.
