disappearingdan
Isn't this new EP the sequel to the lost Network Album "Omega 3000"?

Nah it was just rumoured that the next album would be called that if they made one. I think it came from John Roecker (not even the band). There was no suggestion that there was a lost album or any unreleased material.
Popular Post Bobbybarebum
Yeah, once The Network heard Green Day trying to pull that "lost album/the dog ate it" crap, they abandoned the idea of having a lost album. But it was their idea first. 3

Popular Post Bakabanas
If there is a particle, let's say electron, with a negative charge, there is a corresponding anti-particle, containing of anti-matter, in this case, positron, with a positive charge. If Green Day is completely non, or anti-Network, then they both must combine a matter - anti-matter pair. Well, what happens, if those two particles collide? They annihilate each other, emitting tons of energy. So, let's hope that those two bands never merge into one, because it would mean the end of us all, and it is best to keep that remaining weekend alcohol from me. 1 1
Popular Post pacejunkie punk
On Green Day’s Spotify page, they have the Trans Am EP listed as a Artist’s Pick. Now why would Green Day promote those hacker jerks? 🤔 2

I bet if The Network knew they were being promoted on Green Day pages they'd call off the whole deal. 2

There was only ever one public show at the Key Club advertised, I'm quite sure. I don't recall any opening act, nor encore. And people definitely stuck around after the show thinking or hoping GD would come out for a secret show. Didn't happen. woah, cool! thanks so much for the info. Another weird question, a lot of stuff on the DVD looks like it's being lip synced to the record recordings (for instance, fink's backing vocals in Reto. I know there's some other stuff too but I can't think of it off the top of my head atm). Do you remember if at all how much stuff seemed like it was coming from backing tracks and how much was live? Or perhaps they just dropped in audio from the record over the live recording to make the DVD sound better, idk. thanks again for helping to satisfy my curiosities! EDIT: also, you're totally right about it being intercut with the earlier no audience rehearsal. just went back to the video and you can see an audience-less shot at 10:37 DOUBLE EDIT: hahaha upon closer inspection at that no audience shot, Z is wearing just the mask and a white t-shirt rather than the rest of his outfit lmfao. Gonna start looking for other little nonsense like that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oViWFEhGhr0&t=389s 2

But I can tell you the show was very much LIVE! It was most definitely the guys singing and playing all their parts live in real time and they sounded really great. I remember when I saw them at the Wiltern as well... Same thing... Except at the Wiltern show when they opened for GD, aside from a smallish (maybe 100?) crowd of us down center and front singing and jumping round to The Network... All the rest of the people in the venue there to see GD had no clue who these silly crazy new wave synth masked guys on stage were, hahaha.
Seanz25
The EP is way better/more interesting than anything GD have released since 21CB.

That Dude
They've been joking about their rivalry for years. 2020 is the year for a Green Day Network crossover track. Mike and Van Gough doing harmonies on a huge, epic track. Oh man. American Eulogy without Billie Joe equals = greatness. Now that I think about it, Van Gough lit a fire into the underground.
Clockwise
One of the things I'm most excited about is what the potential influence The Network will have on future Green Day music. I'm not saying we'll get another AI, but I do think it might inspire them to do something different again!

Montclare
You would think the three seconds of Billie whipping his hair around would be my favorite part, but I'm giving that honor to Jason's awkward dad dancing.

MarriedtoMikeDirnt
The Flat Earth video makes the song a million times better. I'm guessing we're getting a vid for Fentanyl too. I hope it's more interesting than the song. I hate to say this, but this revival of The Network is pretty disappointing. I really hope the album is good; that's the only thing that can save this. Even if the album is shit, it's still gonna be the highlight of my year.

Popular Post That Dude
I think these guys may be wearing Green Day masks under their head gear, I am not sure. They should do a faux unmasking video where their bodies look completely different when they take them off. Van Gough is 800 pounds. Fink is The Rock. Z is Chris Rock. That would be hilarious. Or just unmasking and looking similar to but NOT Green Day. I would love to see that. In that press conference, didn't Fink look different? What if the voices do not belong to the physical beings wearing the masks? Milly Va Network?
