So far we have

1. Prophecy

2. Tarantula

3. Ivvanka

4. Trans Am

Maybe we'll get those four songs in full and they call it an EP? Either way - I'm hoping to hear tarantula in full.

And Threat Level (Midnight)

Hoping for more than an EP. What's Shazam anyway?

An app that can identify a song/artist by listening to it.

Also a superhero.

Depending on how shazam's database is handled, it's not impossible somebody made an assumption on the title. The EP part is what has me curious.

I'd love a full album, but I'd be fine with an ep. It's something new and something that we never expected even a month ago.

Honestly I'm pretty sure the EP or album will be 10x better than FOAM lol YES I SAID IT

EP is fine with me. As much as I'd want a physical release, I would be okay (for now) not getting one. Less money that I don't have for me to spend. But anyway, whatever it is I'm excited! New music from The Network, which I could've never guessed. And I get to bask in the excitement with everyone else! I wasn't around when The Network first popped up.

I won’t be happy unless it’s a Triple album 😂

They can call it Eins, Zwei, Drei.

Vier is Balducci 😉

Wtf are you talking about, The Network IS NOT a band that makes an EP 😐 That's underestimating them. It's been 17 years, I'm sure they have a lot to say.

Anyone try “Shazaming” the other song snippets to see if they show up as being on a potential “Trans Am - EP”? I only say Ivankkka and Trans Am mentioned.

Shazam is almost certainly wrong. Google Trans Am - EP and there's literally a band called Trans Am, who have a self-titled EP, that it's likely mistaking it for.

Just chill people. The album will come sooner or later, stop grasping at straws for something to keep this thread going in the meantime.

Said this a few posts back. Shazam isn't always accurate. Didn't The Network also post an instagram video in reaction to that guy on YouTube saying it was going to be a mixtape or an EP? They cut in the "You're Wrong" in the clip.

Explain.

The Story of Money Money 2020 (a basic outline)

Joe Robot leaves home and begins his journey.

In Transistors Gone Wild, Joe is traveling through the city, disillusioned with all the crap on television.   I hate to mention them, but this really does echo Green Day’s “American Idiot”.   It’s the same feelings.

In Reto, Joe meets Reto.  He gets a job working in the lab, but just doesn’t fit in there.    Joe packs his bags and keeps on a traveling.

In Supermodel Robots, Joe meets the girl of his dreams.   Green Day really borrowed A LOT from this album to make American Idiot.   Amanda is a wild thing and Joe just can’t get a handle on her.   She’s crazy!!!!!

Money Money 2020 – in the title track, Joe and Amanda don’t stay happy for long.  A bloody gang war erupts in town, nearly wiping The City off the map.

Spike:   With Amanda seemingly dead and the entire town destroyed, Joe Robot has limited options.  So he joins the gang that won the war.   He’s one of them now, and they like drugs.   And booze.  He can’t face the fact that she is gone, so he tells every that she dumped him.

Love and Money - Green Day stole this idea for Give me Novocaine.    Joe is having some serious problems with drugs and he’s losing his mind.   Things are very, very dark.

Right Hand o Rama -   In the throes of drugs and alcohol, Joe Robot makes a trip to the store.   Kind of like the kid in the Jesus of Suburbia video.   He gets his magazine and steals away into the night.

In Roshambo, Joe sees a vision of Whatsname.  He can’t tell if she’s alive or fantasy.   She wants him to run away with her.   She says she’s got a safe place for them to go.    But he’s so high and strung out.   With tears in her eyes, she tells him to stay.   He’s where he belongs.

In Hungry Hungry, things get even more bleak:    Amanda is alive, but not well.  She has no money money for food food , and is very hungry hungry.    She’s working at the scummiest strip joint in all the world, and frequently passes out while working.    She’s got it rough.

In Spastic Society, Joe escapes the gang and begins his life anew.  He’s need medication to survive, but he’s off the hard stuff and sees a little clearer now.   The world is scary, but he’s prepared for it.  He wonders how Whatshername has been.

X-Ray Hamburger -   This is the twist.  Amanda is an alien in disguise.   She was going to rescue Joe Robot from what was coming, but when she discovered his allegiance to the gang and drugs, the decision was made.    Her people come down to Earth and use a laser that cooks all humans into hamburgers.    Joe watches in horror as every single human is turned into a hamburger and beamed up into the spaceships.

He sees Whatshername looking out of a window and looking down at him.    He screams “it’s you!”   over and over as she laughs.   He wasn’t good enough for her.   She replies through the window – “X-Ray Hamburger is You!!”

All humans are taken onto the ships and eaten.    All the humans are dead.

In Teenagers from Mars, the song explains what kind of beings these burger lovers are.    Within the mothership, a rowdy bunch of punk rock teenagers party and cause grief for the adult Martians.  Spike is one o these heathens.

In Hammer of the Gods – The Martians celebrate wiping out such a spastic society.   Human ghosts are screaming in their stomachs.     All is well.

END.

Transistors Gone Wild – American Idiot

REto – Holiday

Supermodel Robots – She’s a rebel

Spike - Letterbomb

Love and Money – Give me Novocaine.

Right hand o Rama – St. Jimmy

Roshambo - - Extraordinary Girl

Spastic Society – Homecoming

X-Ray hamburger – Whatshername

In the streaming age a lot of artists have started packaging all of the pre-release singles from an album into one EP before the album comes out instead of like four separate songs, I'd bet it's that, especially if one of the new songs is called Trans Am. I bet that drops Friday and they release the other singles with it to streaming for the first time too, and the album will follow
