If you like garbage music, check out "An Honest Mistake", "Believe", "Fearless", "Time Wont Let Me Go" by The Bravery. They're just as horrible as Franz Ferdinand, The Killers etc.

If you had a driver's license in 2005, I find it hard to believe you haven't heard at least one of those songs. Check them out...might ring a bell in your head from years back

Started driving in 2001 or so,  and I am a fan of The Killers.  I will preview some Bravery tunes and I have heard a song or two of Franz which I was not impressed with.    I've probably heard the Bravery and didn't know it.

If they are as great as you say they are, i'm sure they are amazing.

At some point, this party dwindled down to 7 people.

The Network and there wrangler.

Is Balducci just a support member? 'Cause he wasn't in the old site. I didn't know if he would be included this time but now I see he is and we barely know him.

NOW FINK. PLEEEAAASE I want to know what he's been up to

Don't have my copy of Money Money 2020 anymore but Balducci (Jason) was not in the liner notes nor was he pictured in the jewel case insert. He was also not in any of the music videos (until now). His appearances were strictly the 4 live shows.

Edit: For those who may not already know, Z is Chris Dugan and Captain Underpants is Reto Peter. My apologies if this is common knowledge to 90% of you but I know there are many out there who were not around for the first record

Was taking a look around my favorite mp3 site (mp3va) and typed in The Network.

Their 1989 album called Crashin' Hollywood kind of sounds like Foreigner and their 2008 album, Titanus is really weird and scary.   I don't like it.

Down with The Network.

Well, these other bands called The Network, anway.

I need to explore some more, there seems to be hundreds of band with this name.    Too bad you can't sue someone without revealing your true identity.   Otherwise Batman would fight crime with lawsuits or something.

Viva Death!

Oh, and I'm making a mix cd.   Including Ultimate Test and The Church and I'm keeping them under The Network name.   Because.

What is Division and Fear?

Honestly, all I always knew is who are Billie, Mike and Tré. But I knew Jason and Chris Dugan were involved (just no which member) and I don't know Reto Peter.

Thanks for clarify👍

How are they not going to use Jason Freese? He’s so talented

He might now be Capt. Underpants.

The Network was started before Freese started working with them

Wow, I’m just catching up on this now coming out of the weekend and work. What?!?

I am shocked! I was definitely on the hill- the musicianship and sound (not to mention the hardest part to replicate, the vocals) had all the signatures to my ear. And while some of you were skeptical and had sniffed it out, which raised some doubt in my mind for sure, I still ended up convinced. I figured my ear was good and since I’d been a rabid (to put it mildly) fan since ‘94 I’d know when I heard them. Especially since I have been playing music myself since ‘95 since being inspired by them

I’ll be the first to admit, I was wrong and am still shocked about it! And kudos to you guys who were suspicious and pointed out why days ago. I’m super impressed. I thought it was paranoia but you all heard something I didn’t. Well done and again, I’m really impressed.

And I’m actually not disappointed at the end of the day. Sure, I would’ve loved for this to be GD as it’s an awesome song. But it’s an eye opener- there’s lots of great music and bands out there and maybe I need to look harder for them, since without this fake I would’ve never found this one. And they’re good. And I’m super glad it wasn’t a band doing anything nefarious or trying to spoof the Network (like the panicland episode that seems to have taught this forum so well.

love,

Not always but usually right, so keep that in mind going forward,

Timmy Chunks, roadie hall of fame.

ps- it’s been fun to be dragged back into the forum by this. And now we have a vaccine candidate = tour. Let’s go!

Is this the real Timmy Chunks?

Ah that makes sense. I’d love if he had more creative input. The keyboard on Stop, Drop, and Roll!!! is one of the best parts of that album in my opinion.

The sax solo in Pieces of Truth.

I rest my case, you honor. Court adjourned.

No! Sorry to say. But I’m super happy you catch the reference, he’s an iconic part of Green Day history for sure.
