Honestly while I'm not sure on who's singing (definitely sounds like somebody in Green Day) the lyrics read like something Billie/Mike would write.

My only question is

Why give exposure to a video that almost no one noticed before, just to claim it is fake? 

Why download it and upload it as a story? 

 

And also put it together with the other videos whom were obviously advertising, announcing this new The Network's album

I don't see much of a comparison with what happened with Paniclands 

Those were snippets that were also containing true green day's voice samples buried on the mixes of the relative albums. They also chose only parts were voice was more similar. 

If we had had from the beginning the whole songs no one would say "this is green day"

Also it's funny that people use Bill saying it's fake here as evidence. There have been a lot of "leaks" and fake songs over the years. Only for the one where the gag is that The Network isn't GD does someone come out of the woodworks to make absolute sure we know how "fake" it is.

It’s such a shame to be associated to those tight ass Germans that extraordinary measures are necessary

I believe that TUT was an official leak and the reason why it was dropped earlier and separate from all the IG and other YT stuff clearly under The Network profile is obvious — because at least half or more of the fanbase already knows Green Day is The Network, that joke played out 17 years ago. So take TUT out of the game. What would there be for us here to puzzle over and speculate about if not for that “extra” mysterious song of unknown origin?

By doing this, it includes the rest of us that thought we knew the joke and now we’re all guessing and arguing along with the n00bs as to whether this is The Network, or Green Day or a fake or a troll, etc. I’ll say it again, we’re being played. TUT is absolutely The Network. It’s the deep dive into the joke for the fans who were there the first time and otherwise wouldn’t be having as much fun right now.

I think when it does turn out to be a Network song all the believers should get their names listed in their own gloat thread here with “We Told You So” in the OP and the rest of y’all can apologize there 😜
