Exactly. I get what people say about the importance of being able to laugh at tragedy, and laughing at your own tragedy can be a healthy coping skill, but laughing at other people's tragedies/getting enjoyment out of others' suffering is kinda sociopathic and explains a lot of what is wrong in this world.

I don't have Instagram so I can't see this, but this makes my point for me anyway, since what I said was that it is one thing for a person to make fun of their own tragedy, and quite another for others to make fun of it. Also, it isn't mems I have issues with, it's statements like the one @Sarcasm made.

I would hardly call asking people to treat others with decency being stupid. Everyone is missing my point. It's not about the memes, and it's not about being able to find humor in bad situations. It's about making hurtful comments about other people's suffering and calling it funny. I would like to state for the record here that absolutely none of my statements here making fun of everyone are to be taken seriously, and I am not actually upset about anything. I was trying to make a point about how you get personally attacked if you dare to disagree with anyone or state an unpopular opinion. So, if people think making personal attacks is funny, then my strategy is just to give it right back to them and see if they still feel the same way. Rant over.
