Also, can they stop calling these interviews live? It's another pre-recorded interview that you aired live I guess. The wording is misleading.

Just watched the interview. Is it me or I feel like I've watched the same interview 3 times lol.

Always the same question or approach in these 3 interviews.

- No Fun Monday

- Hella Mega

- Soap Opera

Possibly, but each answer to the above points gives a little more detail.

Okay, what? Billie mentioned a niece? What niece? Did I miss something super major? Did I mishear?

Yep, he said him, Adie, Jakob, Joey and his girlfriend and his niece were all there, with 5 dogs 😂.  They had a niece staying with them in NY I think, they must have one particularly close to.

So six humans and five dogs. Good to know they’re not outnumbered yet 😄

Yeah he did that first interview from home and then the second from Otis and now we know why.  Hard to find a quiet place.

Also, I %100 agree Billie should cover some Billy Idol or Rick Astley.

It was funny how he admitted he was really lazy and wanted to do songs he already knew instead of learning new ones 😄 One of the other interviews he also was like yeah, writing new songs is a lot more work so I thought I’d just bang out covers instead.

He was always known for being a workaholic and a prolific writer. He had that joke with Norah Jones about her teaching him how to be lazy and he would teach her how to be stupid.  Now it’s like, this song is too hard to play live and I’m too lazy, lyric writing is hard for me, writing songs and making playlists are a lot of work, etc.  (All things he’s said recently).  Even the short new album of short songs can be interpreted as not wanting to work too hard anymore in light of these other statements when you think of how hard they’ve worked on their past albums and the regular rehearsal schedule they always kept.

I get not wanting to keep doing that forever but it’s more than just a change of work habits it’s like a whole personality change.

I think there is an age factor too. You can't look at or do things in the same way after some time.

He’s also in coronavirus mode as the rest/most of us. I have been fucking lazy with my work as well during these months, not to compare my normal job to being Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, but I imagine it can also be hard for an artist to get creative in these conditions.

Props to anyone who is producing content and being creative because holy hell it's been hard for me. I've been so unmotivated to do anything lately.

Yeah, and previously he said he wrote a bunch of new GD songs as well. I mean, I would love to be lazy like that :D

The 4 different time zones in the US is complicated. Then you throw in Arizona that doesn't conform to our "Daylight Savings Time" deal. Part of the year they are on mountain time and another part pacific... (thank god for google)

It's so complicated, especially when you came from abroad.

I've been to west US and it's confusing just to known for what time my tour for monument valley is booked

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't call him lazy.  He essentially has put out a new album.  They might be covers, and songs that he knows, but it's still work to record the vocals, all of the instruments, and mix it.  And this is on top of the 6 songs that he said he's written.  And that was a month ago; there could be more since then.  We don't know what else he's done that he hasn't shared with us yet.  All during an international crisis.

Is it in California? If so, all of California is in the same time zone (pacific).

Thank you. And yes, I would not call him lazy. Lazy would be doing nothing but watching tv. He's far from lazy.

Okay so here's the thing. When I heard niece, my mind misremembered what "niece" means and I thought Jakob or Joey had a kid. 😂 That's why I was so baffled. My brain isn't working very well lately. Haha! Makes way more sense now.

Is in Utah, and Arizona but it's also follow the rules of Navajo nation

The problem is that Utah follow the daylight saving time and Arizona not.

But before I was there, I simply send out an email for clarifying that issue

Feeling like a blue arsed fly trying to keep up with all of these interviews!

And as for Billie doing so much stuff during this crisis, maybe he's doing these things to take his mind off what's happening?

I had a similar thought last night when I saw FOAM displayed in a store window... It’s funny in some way, but I really wouldn’t have guessed he’d ever go “hahaha look at my career, I’m gonna scribble over my most acclaimed album cover and then sing about how rich and unhappy I am LMAO” and that’s literally what he did.

It seems like he went from being very ambitious and driven to wanting to have fun doing something fun and easy.

I see what you mean but don’t think one precludes the other, they is a long time between them
