I'm really happy that, if they are staying with Reprise, they've got more creative freedom, artists like Billie should have the right to just go nuts and let their imagination come to life. 

 

Although I wonder what the catch is, Reprise wouldn't give them total creative freedom without taking something in return, maybe they're going to take more of the money generated? Who knows. I was listening to a podcast this morning about how the virus is impacting the industry and the guy on the pod said that musicians on pre-streaming record deals don't make anything at all from sites like Spotify because their record deals pre-date streaming. I know artists don't make much from streaming anyway but something is better than nothing, I wonder where they stand in terms of how much of the revnue they receive with their new deal.

That’s likely, but also a sad prospect, since it would make it a second album sacrificed in favor of a biggest hits tour.

Anyway.   What do these new songs sound like?  Billie was really anamored with that Country documentary. Just saying. 

Other than dubstep and nu metal, there isn't a ton of musical dislikes the band has, right? 

And maybe they've lightened up on those as well.

I mean yeah, but the way it’s worded makes it sound like he has one lined up to work on since with the 6 new songs Billie said he wants get with mike and tre after quarantine
