Okay so we’ve got 7 songs from the last session, plus 3 or 4 since September and 6 since March.  That’s a nice crop of songs. Lose the falsetto and I’m up for any style they want to try, but let’s have the songs be about thirty seconds longer each please 😄

Could they be planning to record together this summer if restrictions are lifted but the tour is postponed?  They’ll need something to do then.  They could release an album early 2021 just before the rescheduled tour.

I wouldn’t mind a weird record produced in social distancing mode, as a concept at least  It would be something to be remembered, and given the production approach they used for FOAM (working from distance sending demos back and forth), I guess it would not be such a big challenge. 
But I imagine they would still need some physical sessions with all of them together to finalize the arrangements. 
Anyway, I guess the “we want to put out music whenever we want” thing is actually happening in the end, so fucking awesome

Wow this is great news. I wonder if they're recording after quarantine or somenthing. But the way billie has spoke about it and now butch sustaining it, seems to be they're working on it already. So excited!

Yeah the recording remotely is all cool and modern, but I wish they would just record in the studio. It always feels more energetic and cohesive that way.

Billie said in his quarantine interview for Kerrang that he’s looking forward to getting back in the studio with Butch and the guys when they are able to. This was the process they used last time they started with made at home demo tracks they sent to Butch to work on and they got together to record most things later.  So I guess they’re in that initial phase where Billie sends his demos and says what do you think.

Billie seems to be in an incredibly creative place right now. I haven’t really felt like that’s been the case for awhile. It’s been more like he was pushing himself to be creative. Now it feels like it’s just flowing from him. Hopefully with no impediments like severe depression or excessive substance use.

After quarantine because getting back into a live setting wont happen till 2021. This is becoming more and more like the trilogy every day lmao

This doesn't seem like "here's a bunch of songs forced down your throat in one era have fun!" kinda vibe. 

This seems more like "hey this thing just happened and we can't go through with our plans but don't worry we can do this and here you go enjoy it!". 

I'm excited but FOAMF really lowered my expectations. I'm going into the next record as a blank slate with no expectations. Maybe they'll really surprise me.

With just a few tweaks I think FOAM could have gone from a good album to a great one. So maybe they learned a few things and will build upon it.

I think it was a decent record my comment comes from more of a subjective place. I think if they were to ditch the newer sound on Oh Yeah and Junkies On A High and try something that rocks a bit more I'd enjoy it more. 

Not that I dislike Junkies On A High that worked a lot better than Oh Yeah. Ditch that and throw in something that has more vocal phrasings similar to stuff we heard in the Longshot.

I think one of the good things of this collaboration, given the variety of FOAM, is that the record could go in literally any direction (musically). I have no clue about what to expect, and that’s really exciting IMHO
