I'm thinking he'll probably play a GD song this time since he already did ITWAN on Jimmy Fallon in addition to the No Fun Mondays release. I'd be happy if he played it again, though. I'm just excited for anything. Whatever he chooses to play, it'll be great and I'm looking forward to it. Can't wait!

I think that some artists (including my mum's favourite Andrea Bocelli) did a mini show (like 20-30mins).

It’s a 2 hour show with over 70 people so I’d say one song each

The BBC website says something like it’ll show highlights and additional stories etc from the UK so I would bet money they will focus on the likes of Chris Martin and dump Billie in favour of yet another heartwarming, local story.  Just checked for timings though and can see Channel 5 are showing it at 10.55 Sunday night for two hours so whether that’s the same prog they bought from BBC music or not I don’t know.  (BBC music does not have a channel and I don’t see it in the BBC listings for Sunday).

I hope he does Graffitia, that acoustic version sounded great and he still has a new album to promote although it seems like that's fallen by the wayside

I’m betting on WMUWSE. It just fits too well. But I definitely won’t be disappointed if it’s ITWAN. Can someone explain to me why that song isn’t a available outside of YouTube? What are they thinking?

I honestly don’t think they expected it to be any kind of hit.  Not sure why they can’t get it up on Spotify now though, I don’t know how long that usually takes. I think it’s easier/quicker if it’s Warner versus an independent.

Spotify put together a ten hour long playlist of all the artists appearing in the special. The good news is Green Day appears second right after Lady Gaga with American Idiot. The bad news is American Idiot and Good Riddance are the only songs of theirs on the whole playlist (nothing from the new album so they really are not promoting it anymore)

Well considering it’s a two hour TV special and the playlist is over ten hours I’m guessing quite a few each but I didn’t count them.

I couldn't look through this event that much but I guess there are many artists and not all of them musicians cause remember I saw David Beckham on the list. So, it would be an interesting show with all those different artists imo but again it’ll probably be prerecorded but I still want to see an online live show or performance, I don’t know it’s still so exciting and great but live experience has always felt different in some way even when watching online for me at least

Then there must be many artists that are not performing in the special in that playlist because how does a two hour show become over ten hours with 1-2 songs each?

Something tells me that’s more for publicity than anything. FOAMF songs are still played on the radio, and are still charting in some capacity, so it makes sense for them to still promote it while it’s still new. It’s just kind of difficult to do so.

Am already excited to see Billie perform tonight but Global Citizen tweeted they have a big surprise tonight and to get ready to rock and roll, Billie and family are back in Oakland and Frank Storm has posted twice that there is a storm coming.  Is something going on?? Actually, would be great timing for a performance from The Boo!

On the other hand, national news here (equivalent to the BBC) has a long article about this event, comparing it to Live Aid etc, and there's no mention of his name. Can't remember where it was discussed earlier how well known he is in the mainstream, but seems he's not even "of Green Day" famous here lol.

Which tweet are you talking about I couldn’t find one that hinted at a rock and roll surprise but I do see they added the Rolling Stones to the lineup so that could be it.

They have so many artists participating now that this is going to be shown in two parts - a livestream online from 2-8pm and then a TV broadcast from 8-10. They’re not releasing a lineup so to catch Billie you’ll basically have to sit in front of your screen for eight hours now 😤
